Upcoming Autosport Club Events – Darfield Grass Autocross and Kaiwara Road Gravel Sprint
Autosport Club has two events coming up over the next few weeks, with the return of grass autocross at Darfield followed by the Kaiwara Road Gravel Sprint.
Darfield Grass Autocross – Saturday 31 October
Autosport Club is returning to grass autocross for the first time since January 2023. The event will be held on a large, flat grass paddock at Culens Road, Darfield.
Rally tyres are permitted in most classes, making this a great opportunity to get the rally car out for a blast without needing a set of road tires. The club Toyota Starlet will also be available for hire, with priority given to young drivers who have not previously used the car.
New competitors are encouraged to come along and have a go. You can enter in a suitable road car, and no competition or civil driver's licence is required. Entry is $50 per competitor, with entries limited to 45.
Entries close at 5pm Thursday 29 October.

Kaiwara Road Gravel Sprint – Sunday 8 November
The Autosport Club is heading back to Kaiwara Road for another gravel sprint, bringing competitors back to one of North Canterbury’s established motorsport roads.
The course covers approximately 4.4km of flowing, twisting gravel road, including a technical downhill approach onto a bridge.
