Be honest.
How many of us have accidentally clipped a kerb while parking?
It happens.

But repeated bumps can affect:
🛞 Wheel alignment
🛞 Tyre wear
🛞 Steering performance

If your steering wheel isn't sitting straight or your vehicle pulls to one side, it may be worth having it checked.

Always turn your headlights on dipped when it’s snowing – this’ll help you see the road and make you more visible.

To state the obvious, snowfall makes you less visible to people around you.

Many of us have silver, grey, or white vehicles which easily blend into snowy conditions. Having your headlights on dipped activates your rear position lights. Together your lights make you much more visible to people behind you and people coming towards you.

Have your headlights dipped, not on full beam. If you use full beam during intense snow the light will reflect on you – and it’s illegal to use full beam when you’re around other people.

Use fog lights if your vehicle has them. You must turn your fog lights off as soon as you're out of the snow.

If you’re heading out in icy or snowy conditions, carry warm clothes, water, and food in case you get stuck or need to wait for the weather to improve. You should also make sure you have at least half a tank of fuel or battery range in case you encounter detours or diversions.

Pull over somewhere safe if you need to stop. If you get stuck call roadside assistance or a towing company to help, and in an emergency call 111.

Your tyres are losing pressure right now. Even if they're fine. Even if you haven't hit a single pothole. 🛞

Tyres naturally lose around 1–2 PSI per month through normal permeation - that's just how rubber and air work. Add cooler temperatures (cold air contracts, taking tyre pressure with it), and by July your pressures could be noticeably lower than in autumn.

Why it matters more than people realise:
→ Under-inflated tyres wear unevenly - often from the inside edge, where you can't see it without pulling them off
→ Fuel consumption goes up
→ Wet-weather grip and handling go down
→ They can fail your WOF

The fix is free and takes five minutes: check your pressures at any petrol station air pump, once a month.

A quick tip - the correct pressure is on a sticker inside your driver's door frame (or in your owner's manual). NOT the number on the tyre sidewall - that's the maximum, not the recommended.

A five-minute habit that protects an $800+ investment - if you're not sure what your pressures should be, ask us next time you're in. Happy to check while the car's with us.😊
