Ticked a couple of boxes for our visiting angler from Tahiti yesterday 😁
Showed great skill playing his kingfish on the light gear.
Yann normally jigs the FADS around Tahiti and has caught some huge yellowfin tuna.

With the easterly winds, we fished in the lee of Coromandel yesterday. As we made our way across, we could see whales breaking the surface in the distance. Several workups came into view and we set up for a drift. The action continued for the outgoing tide.

Straight into the action yesterday. Birds and dolphins working schools of baitfish on the surface with the occasional whale coming through and finishing them off.
We found kingfish, snapper and kahawai in amongst it. Water temps down but hot fishing 🔥
