Tomorrow the adventure begins! The 2026 Round North Island Yacht Race is officially underway, with 26 two-handed teams set to cross the start line in one of New Zealand’s most iconic offshore challenges.
Just making it to the start line is a massive achievement. Years of preparation, countless sea miles, and a serious investment of time and money have all built toward this moment.
We’re proud that Sailutions has supported many boats on their journey to the line — and especially proud to have four yachts racing under the Sailutions colours this year: Hotdogger, , , and . It’s been a privilege to work alongside these teams to help ensure they’re as prepared as possible to take on the lap of the North Island.
To all competitors: sail smart, push hard when the moment’s right, and above all stay safe. Results are a bonus — crossing the finish line in a couple of weeks’ time is the real victory.
Fair winds to everyone taking on the challenge!

This time last year Seldén Mast wanted some test yachts to test the new CXr over the kiwi summer. Perfect Storm Sailing was a great candidate as they prepared for the Shorthanded Sailing Association of New Zealand RNI.
