Myth or Fact?

"Transmission fluid lasts the lifetime of the vehicle."

❌ MYTH!

While some manufacturers advertise "lifetime" transmission fluid, that doesn't mean it lasts forever.

Heat, stop/start traffic, towing, hills, and everyday driving all take their toll on your transmission fluid. Over time it breaks down, reducing its ability to lubricate and protect internal components.

A routine transmission service can help keep your vehicle performing at its best and may prevent unnecessary wear.

💬 How many kilometres has your car travelled? Let us know in the comments! We'll tell you whether it's likely due for a transmission service.

A Transmission Service Costs Less Than a Transmission Rebuild.

It's as simple as that.

Your transmission works hard every time you drive. Over time, the transmission fluid breaks down, loses its protective properties, and can no longer lubricate and cool internal components effectively.

Regular servicing helps:
✅ Reduce wear on internal components
✅ Remove contaminants from old fluid
✅ Maintain smooth gear changes
✅ Improve reliability
✅ Extend the life of your transmission

Most transmission failures we see could have been made less severe, or even prevented—with routine maintenance.

Invest in preventative maintenance and keep your vehicle performing at its best.

⚠️ 5 Signs Your Transmission Might Need Attention

Your vehicle doesn't have to stop driving before your transmission is trying to tell you something.

Keep an eye out for these common warning signs:

🔹 Delayed engagement when selecting Drive or Reverse
🔹 Shuddering or vibrations while accelerating
🔹 Hard or jerky gear changes
🔹 Unusual whining, humming or grinding noises
🔹 Transmission warning light on the dashboard

Ignoring these symptoms can turn a minor issue into a major repair.

At Kaspa Transmissions, we specialize in diagnosing and repairing automatic transmissions, Hybrids, CVTs, DSGs, manuals and 4WD drivetrains. If something doesn't feel right, it's always better to have it checked sooner rather than later.
