Join us for one very special Sunday, with more than 200 Porsches gathered under one roof. From the 356 that started it all to the Cayenne Electric, it’s a chance to explore five decades of Porsche in New Zealand and take your time with some remarkable cars. And because no Sunday morning is complete without one, coffee’s on us.

This month marks 50 years of Porsche in New Zealand, and for us at Giltrap Porsche, it’s a milestone particularly close to home.

To celebrate five decades in Aotearoa, Porsche New Zealand has worked with the Sonderwunsch department, the pinnacle of Porsche individualisation, to create the 911 GT3 50 Years New Zealand anniversary edition.

Finished in Paint to Sample Yachting Blue Metallic, the colour references both New Zealand’s sailing heritage and the first Porsche imported into the country, which was blue.

Only five have been made, each carrying the etched signature of the late Sir Colin Giltrap, whose passion for Porsche helped lay the foundations for the marque in New Zealand.

Powered by the 510 PS naturally aspirated GT3 engine and offered exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, the 991 Speedster celebrates everything the badge has always stood for: simplicity, connection and the pure enjoyment of driving.

The celebration.

Twenty-five years after reviving the Speedster name, Porsche created one of its rarest modern interpretations.

Limited to just 356 examples worldwide in tribute to the original, the 997 Speedster paired a naturally aspirated flat-six with a lower windscreen and the unmistakable double-hump rear cover. Beautifully balanced and instantly recognisable, it remains one of the most sought-after modern 911s.

The evolution.

By the early 1990s, the Speedster had found its modern identity. Built on the 964 platform, it combined the unmistakable silhouette of the original with a more powerful air-cooled flat-six, wider bodywork and, of course, the iconic double-hump rear cover.

With fewer than 1,000 produced worldwide, it remains one of the rarest chapters in the Speedster story.

The formula remained remarkably familiar: a low windscreen, a lightweight manual roof and an experience centered entirely on the driver.
