Round 4 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship took the riders to Forza Orza in Sweden, where raw Scandinavian forests, unforgiving rocks and an endurance-focused format delivered a demanding weekend of racing.
Lorenzo Gandola secured an impressive P8 finish:
“It was a new race for everyone and a very tough one, especially with the rain on Saturday. I didn’t have a good Prologue because I made a few mistakes over the two laps.
I got off to a good start in the Sprint Race, but I suffered from a lot of arm pump on the first lap, which made it difficult to push hard.
I didn’t get the best start in the Main Race, but I found a good rhythm and finished eighth.”
Teodor endured a difficult race, losing around 20 minutes after his bike became completely submerged in a lake:
“It was a complicated race for me. I crashed in the Sprint Race, and during the Main Race the bike became completely submerged in a lake, right up to the handlebars.
We were riding over rocks along the edge of the lake when I went into the water. I lost a lot of time draining the bike completely. Luckily, the engine started again, and I managed to finish the race and still score some championship points.”
In the championship standings, Teodor Kabakchiev sits in P3, while Lorenzo Gandola is P9.
