Ladies Class Ten - Sponsored by SGS Gases

It was good to see four drivers out in Ladies Class Ten at the final round; Jodie Paskell H250 and Tayla-Jade Paskell H495 joining in the fun as host league drivers. Jodie topped the points going into the final however with damage on board from the mens she was not able to come out in her own final. Jill Grasby E121 and Nicole O'Brien MA48 were both equal on 100 points and would be the only 2 to have a decent final after Tayla-Jade had to pull to the infield on the start straight. O'Brien was well ahead into turn one and looked to have it in the bag but Grasby reeled her in and began to put on the challenge. It was a second win of the series however for O'Brien who just about hung onto it from Grasby, O'Brien also taking victory overall in the class.

Ladies class four - sponsored by Yorkshire Flapjack

It was great to see another addition to class four for round five and Livia Bufton C75 definitely shown she had to pace to run at the front. Claire Compton NS434 didn't have it all her own way this weekend, as Jasmine Cusack MA5 claimed victory in heat one. Compton would go on to take two wins thereafter whilst Cusack picked up an unfortunate black flag for a jump start in heat two and Bufton picked up two seconds and a third throughout the heats. Compton made the best of the starts but not after running wide out of the start line bend Bufton made her move and took over the lead momentarily. Cusack also finding her way passed Compton mounted a challenge for the lead and passed the mini pickup of Bufton up the inside. Cusack had the Citroen C2 wound up beautifully and claimed victory at round five comfortably. Livia Bufton took a great second place and hopefully we see more of her in the championship next year while Compton took third.

Mens class five - Sponsored by Lorryinsurance.co.uk

Another class that was up for grabs going into the final round and was always going to provide top class action. Charlie Holloway E9 was the series leader going into round five and after a second in heat one he was on track to retain his title. Engine issues in heat two and only managing a seventh place put a real spanner in the works for Holloway's campaign. Adam Browne MA184 and Ollie Howell were your top qualifiers going into the final on 155 points and Browne was on a mission now Holloway was sat on the sidelines. Using the wide line, Browne came out of turn one a clear leader and never looked back taking the win. Howell couldn't match the pace of the leader and had to settle for third. Sarah Bateman S45D was on fine form at the final round, taking two wins on Saturday and a third place trophy in the final showing she is more than capable of mixing it with the men. Riley Diaper WS255 was another driver who ended day one on two wins, adding a tidy fourth place to his weekend tally to finish his season off.

Adam Browne capitalised on Charlie Holloways mechanical misfortune and takes the title back to Ireland for a second time.

Weโ€™re proud to support Killavullen National School as they work to create a new playground and outdoor sensory garden for the whole school community.

Rather than asking every child to fit the same environment, the school is changing the environment to give every child a chance to take part.

The new spaces will give children more opportunities to play, explore, regulate, connect and belong - making the school a more inclusive place for everyone.

If you can, please support the school by making a donation by clicking the link below.

Every contribution, big or small, will help make this project a reality โค๏ธ
