🚗🔧 WHEN YOU CAN’T GET INTO THE BOOT… SEND IN THE SMALL ONE! 😂

This Tesla came into Martin Motor Group with a rather unusual problem…

The customer couldn’t get into the boot! 😬

Luckily, Tesla thought ahead and there’s an emergency release inside the boot… which meant we just needed to get someone small and nimble enough to crawl in! 😂

Thankfully, we had just the person for the job! 🧑‍🔧🤣

Once inside, the emergency release was pulled and we could finally get the boot open. We then got to work investigating what was causing the problem.

🔍 And we found the culprit!

The wiring loom running from the vehicle into the boot lid had clearly been worked on previously (not by us), and several wires had snapped in more than one place.

We carried out a temporary repair to get everything working and explained the situation to the customer.

After discussing the options, the customer decided to go for a brand-new wiring loom from Tesla.

And here’s another little fact you might not know about us… 👀⚡

🔧 Martin Motor Group is authorised to purchase parts directly from Tesla!

The new loom arrived, we fitted it, thoroughly checked everything and made sure the boot and all associated functions were working correctly. ✅

Another happy customer heading back on the road! ⚡🚗

This is a great example of why having the right diagnostic and auto electrical knowledge is so important. Electrical faults aren’t always straightforward, and sometimes you have to get right into the problem to find the cause! 😉

⚡🚗 Well, this is a bit different! 😂

It’s not every day you see one of these roll into the workshop!

This Renault Twizy is in with us for new brake pads and discs all round — and we’ve got to admit, it’s certainly made a change from the usual cars we see on the ramps! 👀🔧

This little electric runabout belongs to the lovely team at in town ❤️

We’re using genuine Renault parts for the job, so there’s no messing about when it comes to getting those brakes back up to scratch.

🎥 But the big question is… how will Dan get on with it? 🤔😂

It might be tiny, it might look a little unusual, but it still needs the same care and attention as any other vehicle that comes through our doors.

Following a thorough diagnostic investigation and detailed wiring checks, our technicians identified the underlying fault — water damage to the camera unit.

Rather than simply replacing parts, our team carried out the necessary testing and inspection to accurately identify the cause of the problem. We then fitted a genuine Land Rover factory replacement camera, completed the required checks and got the vehicle safely back on the road. ✅

🚗🔧 IF YOUR CAR DOESN’T FEEL RIGHT, DON’T IGNORE IT!

This Jaguar came into the workshop as the customer had noticed it was feeling rough both at idle and while driving.

Dan got straight onto it and checked the vacuum-operated engine mounts. After pressure testing both sides, he found one wasn’t holding pressure — identifying a faulty engine mount as the cause of the roughness. 🔧

While the car was up on the ramp, Dan also carried out a vehicle health check and spotted that the front brake discs were in very poor condition. 🛑

The customer authorised both jobs and, once the parts arrived, Dan got straight to work.

Everything was checked over and the Jaguar was soon back on the road and back to a happy customer! ✅
