🔧 Ford Focus in the workshop!

Diagnosed and resolved a crank issue, removed the faulty engine, and fitted a fully reconditioned replacement engine.

Now running perfectly and ready to be handed over to WBT Vehicle Sales 🚗

Don’t let the scare stories put you off.

The reality is that wet belt engines, like any engine, need proper maintenance. Regular servicing, the correct oil, and replacing components at the recommended intervals make all the difference.

Every car has maintenance requirements. Ignore them and you’ll have problems. Look after them and they’ll look after you.

It’s not about fear. It’s about maintenance.

Hope you’re enjoying the heatwave ☀️

Unlike normal timing belts, wet belts sit INSIDE the engine oil. So during hot weather, old or poor-quality oil can struggle to protect the belt properly.

That heat + thin oil combination can cause:
❌ Faster belt wear
❌ Rubber breakdown
❌ Oil contamination
❌ Blocked oil pickups
❌ Loss of oil pressure

Heatwaves are hard enough on engines already, if your servicing is overdue, your wet belt engine is under even more stress.

Regular oil changes are one of the BEST ways to protect these engines in hot weather.
