Apparently it’s T5 day today!
A couple more through the workshop.
VW T5 2.5 6 speed in for some much-needed TLC.
VW T5 1.9 5 speed in for a rebuild too.

The 1.9 5-speed T5 boxes keep us busy, we rebuild plenty of these and know them inside out.

Both stripped down on the bench ready for inspection.

WE'RE BACK!
We were back in the workshop yesterday after our much-needed break, and a good chunk of the day was spent working our way through the mountain of messages and enquiries that came in while we were away.

One thing we've always believed is that customer service doesn't end when a transaction has been completed. Sometimes things don't go exactly to plan, we're only human and mistakes can happen! Parts can be incorrect, suppliers can make mistakes, and unexpected issues can crop up. What matters is how those situations are handled.

It's another hot one in the workshop today, fans are working overtime!

Just a quick reminder that we'll be closing for our summer break at 5:00pm on Thursday 13th August, there's very limited availability left before we close. If you've been thinking about booking your gearbox in for a repair or rebuild, please get in touch as soon as possible. We'll always do our best to fit everyone in, but once we're full we're full!

Good afternoon ladies gents

Just a heads up, the scammer is back with the fake page. The business card in the pic has all of our details on and the only number you need to call.

We only have British names on accounts/bank accounts. Please don’t be paying any deposits or fooled by an insurance cover for postage.

We use Royal Mail which doesn’t need it.

Had quite a few calls with people wanting to collect imaginary parts they’ve sold that don’t exsist.

We don’t take deposits it’s simple

Every so often we're asked whether we'll supply rebuilt gearboxes to other gearbox companies or carry out repairs on their behalf.

The answer is simple - we don't and we won't.

Years ago, we made the occasional exception, but experience taught us that wasn't the way we wanted to do business. As a result, we changed our policy.

Every gearbox carrying the Get-Gear name is rebuilt in our own workshop by Gary and supplied directly by us to our customers. We don't rebuild gearboxes for other companies to resell, and we don't carry out repairs for another business to pass off as their own.

If you're looking for a manual gearbox specialist, we'd always encourage you to ask a few simple questions:
✔️ Who is actually rebuilding my gearbox?
✔️ Can I speak directly to the person carrying out the work?
✔️ Who is responsible for my warranty if there's ever an issue?
