During the night of Tuesday 15th September from 23:56 until early hours Wednesday morning, driving off at 02:54 leaving in our customers vehicle (WHITE BMW 4 SERIES - RECOVERED NEXT MORNING IN LEEGOMERY, TELFORD)

We’re asking everyone in Telford and the surrounding areas to please SHARE this video as far and wide as possible. Someone will recognise the person shown in this CCTV footage.

It was a single individual. The individual captured on our cameras appears to be a male wearing a light coloured baseball cap, a Nike tech tracksuit and trainers are Nike airmax 95.

We are offering a £2,000 reward for information that directly leads to the identification of the person responsible AND the recovery of all our stolen goods.

Over £10,000 worth of equipment and goods have been taken from our independent business. We’ve worked incredibly hard to build SprayTech, and we want to get our property back

POV: The social media manager is off… and they’ve left the front desk in charge of the Instagram. 🤷🏼‍♀️📱

Usually, the page is full of well edited repair transformations, fresh paintwork, behind-the-scenes content, and all the professional stuff that makes us look like we have our lives together. Today? Well, today you’re getting me.

I’m the one answering the phones, booking vehicles in, greeting customers, making endless cups of tea, and somehow trying to figure out what half of these Instagram buttons do. If you’ve noticed a slight drop in content quality, please direct all complaints to the social media manager when they’re back. 😂

I lost money in my first year running a car bodyshop… this is what I’d do differently 👇

When people look at a busy bodyshop, they think it’s all profit…
Reality is year one is where most people get it wrong

Here are the mistakes that cost me and what you can learn from them:

1. Underpricing jobs to win work
At the start, I just wanted cars in the workshop… so I priced too cheap.
→ What happens? You stay busy but don’t actually make money.
Lesson: Price for profit, not just volume.

2. Taking on every job (even the wrong ones)
Not every job is a good job - some drain time, energy and resources.
Lesson: Be selective. The right jobs build the right business.

3. Not understanding true costs
Materials, time, labour, overheads… it all adds up fast.
Lesson: Know your numbers inside out or you’ll always feel behind.

4. Relying too heavily on insurance work
It feels consistent but margins can be tight and control is limited.
Lesson: Build a mix — private, retail and insurance claim work.

5. Trying to do everything myself
At the start, I was involved in everything. It slows growth.
Lesson: Build a solid team and trust them.

6. No real marketing strategy
We relied on word of mouth… which isn’t enough if you want to scale.
Lesson: Social media, content & brand presence is worth investing

Fast forward to now — we’ve built a system that works, a strong team and a reputation we’re proud of.

Not necessarily.

Many drivers assume their only option after an accident is to contact their insurer and let them decide what happens next. In reality, there may be alternative routes available.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that you must use your insurer’s approved repairer. In many cases, you have the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired and explore options that may be better suited to your needs.

The most important thing is understanding your options before making a decision.

In the moment, it’s natural to panic, apologise or react emotionally — but certain phrases can actually work against you later on. Here’s what to avoid saying after a road traffic accident ⬇️

❌ “It’s probably my fault”
Even if you think you caused the accident, never admit liability at the scene. There may be factors you’re unaware of, and insurers will investigate properly afterwards. Admitting fault too early could affect your claim outcome.

❌ “I’m fine”
Adrenaline is a real thing after an accident. Injuries like whiplash, back pain and soft tissue damage don’t always show immediately and can appear hours or even days later. It’s always best to say you’ll monitor how you feel and seek medical advice if needed.

❌ “No it’s fine, don’t worry about it”
A lot of people say this to avoid awkwardness or conflict, especially after minor bumps — but hidden damage can be far more serious than it first appears. Modern vehicles can have internal damage, sensor issues or structural problems that aren’t visible straight away.

❌ Being aggressive, shouting or angry
