In the moment, it’s natural to panic, apologise or react emotionally — but certain phrases can actually work against you later on. Here’s what to avoid saying after a road traffic accident ⬇️

❌ “It’s probably my fault”
Even if you think you caused the accident, never admit liability at the scene. There may be factors you’re unaware of, and insurers will investigate properly afterwards. Admitting fault too early could affect your claim outcome.

❌ “I’m fine”
