Our technician Andy got stuck in and powered through the replacement thermostat on this Audi S5
which is a common fault on these engines that can lead to warning lights and overheating

Even better, the customer kept morale high with a full box of Mars Bars 🍫 safe to say that definitely helped fuel the effort!

This Audi SQ7 was 'Air Lifted' 🤪 into us as it refused to turn the ignition on leaving the customer stranded and unable to move the car! With the handbrake and steering lock unable to be deactivated the only way to recover the vehicle was to lift it up on and off the truck 😬

After carrying out our initial fault assessment we found that the steering lock control unit had failed

Replacement of the steering lock control unit with a Genuine Audi part then security coding using ODIS the Genuine VW Audi group diagnostic equipment and this SQ7 is back up and running 💪

So thats a wrap for 2025 here at VRT with the whole team now off until the 5th of January for a well earned festive break 🎅 🍻
