125,000 miles. Down on boost, clogged up, and juddering at low speed.

This 420d xDrive left a different car.

The full job:
• Replacement turbocharger + exhaust manifold repair
• Walnut blasting + swirl flap delete kit
• EGR and EGR cooler delete
• Stainless downpipe
• Stage 1 engine tune
• 8HP transmission tune - faster shifts, better lockup strategy
• 8HP45 gearbox service, transfer box service + calibration
• Engine oil service, new rear shocks and top mounts

On the dyno: 176.8bhp / 348Nm before. 208.5bhp / 406Nm after. And that's against a healthy baseline. We ran it after the mechanical work, so the gain over how it arrived is bigger still.

Ramair replacement filters — available for every intake kit.

A foam filter is there to improve intake airflow and efficiency, but they don't last forever. The foam deteriorates over time, and once it does you're giving away the very gains the kit was fitted for. The photos show the difference — same style of filter, a few years apart.

We can now supply the correct replacement filter for any Ramair intake kit. Not sure which one you need? Send us your kit part number, or just a photo of the intake, and we'll match it for you.

One of our customers’ Audi S3 8V got some good upgrades and is now Stage 2 ready: Direnza intercooler, Trackslag downpipe and Cobra Sport cat-back. They’ve already got an intake done with upgraded intake elbow, so they’re all set.

Although the cat-back isn’t mandatory for stage 2, it sounds brilliant and will help extract some extra performance.

If you want to keep costs down, intercooler, intake, elbow and downpipe get you there. Pick what makes sense for your car and budget.

We are currently seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fault diagnostics (ACTUAL diagnostics, not simply reading DTC’s with a scan tool), servicing & repairs whilst utilising various technical skills to support our projects.

Duties:
- Remove & re-fit engines & transmissions for repairs or performance engine/transmission building
- Ability to replace timing belts & chains, replace clutch/flywheel units & service engines, transmissions & differentials un-assisted
- Load & unload vehicles on to our dyno pre & post tuning (training will be provided)
- Utilise our advanced diagnostic tools to correctly & accurately diagnose faults, then implement the necessary repairs
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting & problem-solving

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in the automotive industry
- Enthusiasm & passion for modified cars, tuning & upgrades. This is more than just a job to us, we love the industry & take pride in what we do.
- Can-do attitude, even when a job may not be straightforward & there are no clear-cut instructions. You must be able to improvise & have a positive attitude with desire to succeed in your given role.

- Full UK licence required - no more than 6 penalty points
- Understanding of vehicle electronics, basic principles. Further training can be provided for specialist electronics work
- Familiarity with diagnostic scan tools, ability to use applications such as VCDS for data-logging & fault finding
- Excellent attention to detail & problem-solving skills
- Experience with VAG/BMW cars

Further training will be provided so that you can adapt to our way of working & improve your skill set, as long as you have the right attitude we will always be willing to help you learn!
