Two hour drive this morning in misty conditions to display in Hanger 113 at the Scramble at the invite of BaT auction website. The Canoe is as ever attracting quite a-lot of attention.

Excellent evening at the Design911 Lounge event organised by Tom Callaghan, excellent company and coffee.

Decided time to give The Canoe a check over and clean prior to displaying in Hanger 113 at the Scramble on Sunday at the invite of BaT who are taking over the hanger for the event.

Front suspension and brakes all good and cleaned up reasonably well in consideration of 8660 miles on our dirty pot holed UK roads! Will post photos of the rear suspension tomorrow.

Can't believe how time flies, my "10years of lunacy" just passed its 4th MOT! Now time to sell "The Canoe".

Been a while, but couldn't resist the chance to pop along to the Ford Dunton Vehicle Enthusiasts day, and catch up with a few of my premie and contract pals. Thanks to my son Christopher for sorting out the entry, Ray Carter for the photos and exit video, and Jim Hosier for the reflection in his shades!

Clearing out my garage and been going through hundreds of old magazines and found this Autosport from 16th April 1970 with the front cover and article from the April 12th 1970 BOAC 1000kms. As many of you will know a certain Pedro Rodriguez won in the wet by 5 laps and was also the race I watched that was the inspiration for reverse engineering my Icon 917K.
But a few of you will notice that the caption above the photo says "BOAC 2000"! I wonder if I have an early miss-print or if all the 1970 April 16th Autosport's say BOAC 2000!
The eagle eyed of you may also notice the No 10 nose of Pedro's 917 lurking in the background.
