Another one that's come and gone before I even had chance to post it!

Vehicle sourcing is now the predominant part of my business, and most of the cars I have available for immediate sale are the part exchanges I take in when I source a replacement for a customer. This 2015 Kia Rio was a perfect example.

With just 57,000 miles and an almost flawless service history, it had clearly been cherished. Every service stamp was exactly where it should be, and it drove every bit as well as you'd expect from a car that's been properly looked after.

I've always had a lot of time for Kia (and Hyundai too). They might not be the most glamorous cars on the road, but if you're after something spacious, reliable and inexpensive to run, they're hard to beat. Kia wouldn't have offered a seven-year warranty from new if they didn't have confidence in their reliability, and in my experience they continue to provide years of dependable, trouble-free motoring long after that warranty has expired.

Another first car delivered, and yes... it's another Vauxhall Corsa. 🚗

People often ask me what I'd recommend as a first car, and the Corsa is nearly always at the top of my list. They just make so much sense.

This one was a Sting model, which normally comes with white alloy wheels and white door mirrors. My customer wasn't a fan, so before delivery I had the wheels professionally refurbished in gloss black and fitted black mirror caps too. Another Mazda MX-5 delivered, and I think this makes it number seven I've sourced this year!

Interestingly, it's another automatic. When I advertised the last automatic MX-5 a few weeks ago, I had loads of enquiries. I promised one customer in particular that I'd keep an eye out and find another one... and I'm pleased to say I did.

This one was a lovely example too. Finished in all black - black paint, black interior and black alloy wheels - it looked fantastic and was in great overall condition. It just needed a little mechanical preparation to meet my standards, including new tyres and some suspension work, before I delivered it to its new owner.

Today I handed it over to its very happy owner in Shrewsbury. Another great drive, another happy customer, and another reminder of why the MX-5 remains one of the best affordable sports cars ever made.

Another one delivered! 🚗

This time it was this 2022 Kia Sportage GT-Line Hybrid, sourced for a customer all the way up in Manchester.

Another Vauxhall Corsa sourced for a customer, and these really have become my go-to choice for anyone looking for a first car.

In my opinion, they're more reliable, better value and better equipped than the equivalent Polo or Fiesta. 👍

That said, finding anything genuinely decent at this end of the market is becoming a real challenge! For this one, I had to travel all the way to North Lancashire to find the right car — but it was absolutely worth the trip.

Great condition, a solid service history and fully prepared with a new MOT to my usual high standards. Exactly the sort of first car I'm happy to put my name to. 👌

Now there's just one final hurdle...

Most people know me for sourcing high-quality used cars, but that's only part of what I do.
