Finding a decent Land Rover technician in 2026 is genuinely hard.

Not because the talent isn't out there. Because most workshops can't offer what actually matters to someone who's serious about these vehicles.

We can.
Nene Overland has been specialising in Land Rover Defenders since 1988. We've got a full fabrication shop, a double bodyshop, an engineering bay and a yard with 60 vehicles in stock at any one time. The work ranges from basic servicing to full V8 engine conversions and ground up restorations. Our last two technicians to join own Land Rovers themselves. One has three on his driveway.

That's the kind of place this is.

We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of hands on Land Rover experience. Someone who takes pride in the work, not just the paycheck. Based within 45 minutes of Ailsworth, Peterborough.

£35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.

Shut the door on any two Defenders in this yard and they sound different. Drive them down the same road and they feel different. Same chassis. Same bulkhead. Same factory in Solihull. Still different every single time.
That is not a flaw. That is the point. 38 years of building them and that still has not changed.

Most workshops won't touch a build like this. We built it because a customer asked us to, and because we wanted to see if we could. Classic Defender. Mustang Coyote engine. Whipple supercharger. Inch and a half of suspension travel.
This is what 38 years of Land Rover specialism looks like when someone gives you a blank cheque and says do whatever you want.
