It would seem that the weather in the UK this year is doing us proud and is staying warmer than we’re used to!

However, can you say the same for your vehicle’s air conditioning? Are you putting up with a poor performance, or none at all, and keep meaning to get it fixed?

No job too big here at M&N!

This week we replaced the clutch on this Mercedes Actros.

The customer complained of engine noise, and after diagnosis we realised that the clutch was slipping due to excessive wear. Using our specialist lifting equipment, we safely removed the gearbox from the vehicle to replace the clutch kit and release bearing.

Vehicle back on the road, and one happy customer 😊

Not all jobs are created equal it would seem…

Recently we had a vehicle in for a what seemed like a simple air-conditioning repair. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case!

To get to the bottom of the problem, we ended up having to take the dashboard off to uncover said leaking component (shown in the image below).

The result: M&N: 1 – Leaking Aircon: 0!

You can’t say that we’re not up for a challenge here at M&N! 😀

A huge congratulations to our Depot manager Lewis Twelvetree and his team, who during both May and June achieved a 100% first time pass rate on all the MOTs that went through his workshop!

‘Getting it right first time’ is very much our moto, so it’s great to see a consistent working example of this in the many ways we look to achieve this as a business.

As an HGV Technician, you will be someone who possesses a can-do attitude, is willing to think outside the box, and have proven experience in a similar role. Having worked on Mercedes Benz vehicles would also be a distinct advantage.

We have various shift patterns available which come with a competitive salary in return, as well as a range of other benefits such overtime, a company pension, and much more.

Although many students in UK have finished their exams now, this is not the case for many Motor Vehicle Apprentices who are completing their final year.

They are now entering of period of testing comprising of online theory exams, practical assessments and end point interview, with a view to ensuring they are reaching the appropriate competencies and standards to be signed off as a fully-fledged Vehicle Technician.

For us here at M&N it’s so very important that we build talent and develop our teams so that we can continue to provide you with the best technical expertise possible, both now and in the future.

So, here’s wishing all our apprentices, both on light and heavy vehicle apprenticeships, the best of luck as they enter this gruelling period of testing. You’ve got this!! ⭐

Here's wishing Michael Ambrosio and Chris Noll a huge 'Congratulations' on their 17 years service with M&N Vehicle Services Ltd!!

They have worked so hard to achieve what they have over these 17 years, the successful business that is M&N.

No doubt they have learnt so much along the way, have many stories to tell, and are incredibly proud of their achievements to date, including the amazing teams they have built that support the running of the business on a daily basis.
