Congratulations go out to these two lovely ladies. Karis in the black top and Kayla in the white top who both passed their driving tests at Grantham TC yesterday. Both worked very hard for this result. Steve was their driving instructor so great work as a team.

Recently, we have been contacted by many PDI’s (potential driving instructor) who have failed 1 or 2 part 2 and part 3 tests having had their driving instructor training with other large corporate driving schools.

The identity of the driving schools is irrelevant*

The PDI’s are mostly folk who are signed into a large weekly franchise fee. Yes they have a nice new car to teach in and yes they seem to get enough pupils to cover the costs of the franchise.

However, something is consistent with all of them. They can not get through the part 3 final examination. They get told during the feedback from the DVSA examiner they have not reached the required standards to pass the part 3 test of instructional ability 😢 again.

These PDI’s then get sign posted by the DVSA examiner to find a .gov DVSA ORDIT registered trainer and establishment by putting their postcode into the .gov search to find their nearest DVSA ORDIT registered trainer.

XDT are on this .gov ORDIT register. We have been inspected by a senior DVSA examiner to be entered onto the register. We have been ORDIT registered for decades. We have assisted hundreds of PDI’s and ADI’s.

The PDI reaches out to us for help 🛟. We know that is a brave step into the unknown 🫣
We then explain how we may be able to help them prepare for their final part 3 attempt. The whole process is explained to them 🛟

Once the PDI decides they want our help 🛟 that’s where the hard work starts….. 🥵

Behind the scenes at XDT HQ we get to witness all the hard work, the long hours of training and preparation that goes into each exam.

At XDT HQ we get many inquiries from PDI’s from various different driving schools. Mostly because they have found themselves in the unfortunate position of being on their 3rd and final part 3 test attempt.

By the time they come to us for help they have spent thousands of pounds on various types of training. They are usually and rightly so, quite pi@ off with who they’ve paid for training with and realise they are now in the last chance saloon 😭
