🚨 A ROUTINE BELT CHANGE THAT REVEALED A HIDDEN PROBLEM! 🚨

Another Peugeot 2008 (2016) in with JM Auto Repairs for a preventative wet belt replacement 🔧

The belt was being replaced as a preventative measure, but once we inspected it, we found it had already started cracking! 😳

This one was definitely caught at the right time! 👀

We replaced the complete wet belt kit, removed the sump and thoroughly cleaned the oil pickup/strainer to make sure any belt debris was removed.

We also fitted a new oil and filter to finish the job properly. ✅

🔧 VW GOLF – COIL SPRING & SHOCKER REPLACEMENT! 🚗💥

Another job completed by JM Auto Repairs on this VW Golf after the coil spring had completely snapped in the middle! 😬

On inspection, we also found the shock absorber was leaking, so we replaced the shocker, strut top mount and bearing, along with the broken coil spring. 🔩

Everything is now back together and the Golf is driving as it should! ✅

🚨 SEVERELY CRACKED WETBELT – CAUGHT JUST IN TIME! 🚨

Another wetbelt job completed by JM Auto Repairs in collaboration with JJ Cars 🔧🚗

This Citroën C5 came to us with a wetbelt that was severely cracked and urgently needed replacing before it caused serious engine damage.

We removed the old belt, thoroughly cleaned out the oil strainer to make sure there was no belt debris causing restrictions, and fitted a brand-new wetbelt.

🚗 Even mechanics’ own cars need some TLC! 🔧😂

This time, it was my own vehicle in the workshop — and, as always, the work was carried out right at my home address! 🏠🔧

The clutch slave cylinder had started leaking inside the gearbox, so there was only one thing for it — gearbox out! While it was apart, I fitted a full OE clutch kit and also replaced the clutch master cylinder, meaning the whole clutch hydraulic system is now completely new. 💪

But the jobs didn’t stop there… one of the suspension arm bushes had completely perished, so that was replaced too! 🔩

Sometimes you spend all week fixing everyone else’s cars and forget your own needs attention too! 😂

Proof that with the right tools and equipment, major repairs can be carried out from home! 🚗🛠️

Now it’s all sorted, driving spot on and ready to get back on the road! 🚗💨

🚨 OIL PRESSURE LIGHT ON? DON'T IGNORE IT! 🚨

This 2019 Ford Fiesta came to us just in the nick of time after the oil pressure warning light appeared on the dashboard.

On inspection, we found the wet belt had deteriorated, and the oil pickup was completely blocked with belt debris, starving the engine of vital oil. The engine was already starting to sound rough, but thankfully the damage hadn't gone too far.

✅ New genuine wet belt kit fitted
✅ Oil pickup removed and thoroughly cleaned
✅ Full engine clean-out carried out
✅ Fresh oil and filter fitted

The result? The engine is now running smoothly and quietly again, just as it should! 💪
