During and after. Unfortunately this Poorly Porka came in from a good trade customer of ours with a majorly blocked DPF so it's out it comes for an off car clean no wasted time on HHO no on car cleaner was clearing this one unfortunately.

Remember the odd motorway run and a blast like your 18 again will do your DPF the world of good, always ensure your service is done on time and your not constantly driving round with the fuel light on

From MOT season straight into what appears to be wet belt and cambelt season........

Belt up or cry later because if your wet belt , cambelt or timing chain snaps it's no holiday for you this year.

Any timing system or wet belt cambelt or chain snapping can and will cause major engine damage usually leading to under the hood surgery which unfortunately is an expensive visit to the garage

All our belts are done with OE or OE equivalent parts we do it once we do it right.

Do you see this light .........its the difference between a big bill and no bill.

But why Mr Nolan why !!!

Most diesels fitted with a DPF will NOT drop into a regen when they are low on fuel meaning failed after failed regen causing major blockages !!!

This can cause a DPF to fail and become un serviceable it can also lead to.

Excessive back pressure leading to turbo failure and engine failure

Countless visits to the garage for cleaning or regens

We get that fuel is expensive but please keep it QTR of a tank and above because £2 a litre isn't as expensive as a £200 DPF clean.

Spot the problem....... We've had the wet belt woes pretty much weekly since they arrived and unfortunately this one could not be saved without a heart transplant after being absolutely seized solid !!!

wet belt check list

1 check your oil weekly (especially on the PSA 1.2)

2 don't ignore flicking oil lights

3 maintain a good service history (make sure the garage is using the correct stalantis oil)

This is the lowest milage vehicle we've seen fail with less than 35 thousand miles and under 5 years old
