A little piece of Forge Garage history 📜🔧

We were recently lucky enough to have been given these fascinating handwritten documents from 1946 and 1947, from A. H. Cummings, Shoeing & General Snith & Agricultural Engineer, The Forge, Lower Brailes.

It records work carried out on tractors and agricultural machinery, including axle, wheel bearing, carburettor, exhaust and plough repairs.

What makes them particularly special is that these were five to six years before Forge Garage was established in 1952.

A wonderful glimpse into the Cummings family’s engineering roots in Lower Brailes and the beginnings of the business we know today.

From The Forge, to Forge Garage — local, honest and trustworthy since 1952. ❤️🔧

🚗✨ A little bit of classic motoring at The Forge Garage! ✨🚗

We have this beautiful 1968 Morris Minor pickup in the workshop today – and what a stunner! 😍

Finished in a gorgeous shade of green and looking right at home in the Forge Garage workshop. Vehicles like this are a lovely reminder of how much motoring has changed over the years… but our passion for keeping them on the road hasn’t! 🔧❤️

To get your car ready for the autumn/winter inspect key components to prepare for colder, wetter weather, focusing on tyres, battery, brakes, lights, wipers, fluids (especially antifreeze and washer fluid). Regular checks are essential to ensure safety, prevent breakdowns, and maintain visibility on the road during shorter days and adverse conditions. You can always leave it to the experts, whether it be a vehicle health check, an interim or a full service give us a call or drop us an email and we’ll happily book you in.

🚗✨ A little bit of motoring history at The Forge Garage! ✨🚗

We had the pleasure of looking after this lovely little Austin Seven Chummy today, in for a replacement rear wheel bearing.

It might be a little different from the modern cars we usually see in the workshop, but we love getting our hands on these wonderful old classics! 🔧❤️

A beautiful little car with bags of character — and it certainly turned a few heads while it was with us!
