Job Advert - Motorsport Workshop Technician

DamperTek is expanding, and we are looking for a technician to support our busy workshop and testing schedule, working on top-level motorsport and automotive suspension systems.

This is a part-time self-employed role with the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate. Initial work time of 2-3 days per week

The role includes:
• Cleaning and Stripping dampers ready for servicing
• Carrying out basic servicing on dampers
• Running damper dyno for post rebuild checks
• Unpacking and packing incoming and outgoing shipments

Experience within a motorsport or high-level automotive environment with excellent attention to detail and a ‘willing to learn’ attitude is necessary.

Experience with motorsport dampers such as Reiger, ZF Sachs, Ohlins etc would be preferred

Competitive hourly/daily rates.

Location: Preston, Lancashire

We’re Hiring!

Motorsport Damper Technician

DamperTek is expanding, and we are looking for a skilled and motivated Damper Technician to support a busy workshop and testing schedule, working on top-level motorsport and automotive suspension systems.

This is a self-employed/contractor role with flexibility, and the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate.

The role includes:
- Servicing and rebuilding race, rally, and off-road dampers
- Diagnosing faults and supporting performance improvements
- Assisting with damper setup and tuning
- Carrying out damper dyno testing

We’re looking for someone with strong hands-on experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Competitive hourly/daily rates.

Desirable experience:
- Experience with motorsport suspension brands such as Reiger, ZF, and Öhlins
- Experience within a motorsport team or high-level automotive industry

Location: Preston, Lancashire

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a set of dampers as bad as this! Water and mud ingress through lack of servicing and neglect - we worked our magic and with some new parts, a lot of cleaning and patience, they are like new again and ready for rallying once again
