Thanks everyone for the lovely messages the last day or so. It really is a reminder of what an incredible woman Kim is and how many people she helped.

Kims funeral will take place on Wednesday 3rd June at 13:30 at Preston Crematorium, before moving to Haighton Manor for Drinks and Refreshments.

I would ask that anyone who knew Kim and is free, to come along. It would be great to see some of her friends again.

I am hoping to put together a slideshow of pictures and memories of her life, so if you have any pictures with Kim, be that in racing, on track, in the paddock, or out and about in life, please share them so we can put a presentation together.

Either message me privately or email to [email protected] to share them would be great. I know a lot of them may be scans of printed photos but that’s absolutely okay!

Hi All

Our long term customers will know who this lovely lady is, but for some of our newer customers, this is Kim.

Kim has been involved in racing since childhood, with both her Mum & Dad racing sidecars, and at an early age Kim was a sidecar passenger for both her Mum on a Velocette outfit, and her Dad on an F2!

She was also heavily involved in the organisation of the Vintage Club Racing Section in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

It was here that she met Andy, and together they built what became Stainless Engineering and then Molnar Precision.

Kim has always remained involved in the business, in fact, for most customers Kim’s been the reason you call on a Tuesday or Wednesday to speak to the nice lady, and not have to speak to Andy or Rich!

I actually can’t tell you how many times I answer the phone and a customer tells me they spoke to a lovely lady on the phone who was so helpful. Kim knew stainless parts for classic British bikes like no one else.

Over the past few weeks customers phoning up will have noticed that she hasn’t been the one answering the phone, so to avoid the painful conversation of why Kim’s not in we felt it’s best to post this news online.

Unfortunately Kim has fallen quite ill. After taking some time off around 10 weeks ago due to not feeling herself, we persuaded her to go to hospital after a couple of weeks at home. Sadly once there it was very quickly established that Kim was a lot more unwell than she was letting on. It has been found that she has various tumours throughout her body, including a quite aggressive brain tumour. All of which were determined to be inoperable, and will eventually be terminal.

She has since been moved to a care home, where she is receiving amazing care both from the nursing staff, and visits from St Catherine’s. And, unfortunately for her, daily visits from both Rich & Andy.

She is as comfortable as we can hope she would be given the circumstances. She still has her same dry sense of humour, and remains positive!

To those who already know this news and have sent well wishes we just want to say that we appreciate your support, and we know Kim would too.

If any customers & friends, old and new want to pass on messages to Kim please leave them below and we will make sure we pass them on but please try to avoid calling with well wishes, as we’re already very busy with customer calls.

We’re doing our upmost to ensure our services remain uninterrupted at this time, we’re certainly learning why Kim used to give us a certain look when we would ask her to pack a stand and a screen in the same box, but we’re aiming to ensure we get all orders out in a timely manor, but your patience is appreciated!

Heads in progress!

Current job on our 5 axis CNC machine is Manx cylinder heads.

Cast in L169 Aluminium Alloy, our unique fixturing allows us to pick these up on the 5 axis after one prep op and then run them right to finish machined state, CNC ported, combustion chamber machined, seat pockets bored. All they need is guides and seats putting in and they are ready to go!

We have machined over 500 Manx heads over the years, no one knows them better!

And just like that, the 2025 race season is a wrap! It feels like only a few weeks ago we were at Mallory park for round 1 full of excitement and anticipation!

This weekend the team was in full force, with Rich Molnar & Joe Woodward on the 500cc Manx’s, and the Ducati 916 Superbikes Piloted by Dean Widdowson & Rich were out to play.

Unfortunately Joe’s weekend didn’t get off to a great start, with the frame on his Manx cracking in qualifying, ruling him out of Saturday’s running.
Rich took the lead for the team, and mustered 2 x 3rd place finishes.
For Sunday Joe rode the spare bike, and took 2 race wins to wrap up the season in style. Whilst Rich took 3rd in race 1, and opted to sit out the wet race 2, deeming the track conditions not worth the risk of souring a season of no DNF’s.

That puts Rich & Joe 3rd & 4th in the 500cc GP championship at the end of the year. Given they both had to miss a lot of races this year with other commitments that shows how well have ridden & the reliability of the bikes.

Over in the ACU 500 National Championship, Rich just needed to finish the race to wrap up the championship, which is exactly what was done. Taking the British title for the first time!

On the Superbikes, the 916’s were down on power but the boys rode them hard. Dean taking 8th, 9th and 10th, whilst Rich took 2nd, 2 x 4th and a 5th.

Finishing the year that puts Dean 7th and Rich in 3rd.

In the ACU Post Classic, the weather couldn’t decide what to do, starting in the dry, having a small shower on the early laps, drying up in the mid part, and then pouring down at the end. The lads on their dry Continental tyres were struggling. After Rich had got up to 2nd, he dropped to 5th in the rain, the conditions too high risk to push. Dean was having a great race until the conditions caught him out at Paddock Hill bend.

What followed was a serious incident, but we are pleased to report that whilst very beaten up, Dean is stable in hospital, the team has spoken to him and he is in typically high spirits. We wish him a speedy recovery!

That’s it for 2025, we’ve had some great races, and some seriously impressive reliability figures. Rich’s bikes finishing all 48 races they have started, and both Superbikes having no mechanical issues, and the only DNF’s we’ve had have come from Joe being so strong he’s moved a clip on!

On to 2026, we’ll be giving all the bikes a winter refresh, and the Superbikes will be getting a lot of work done to bring some more horsepower!

Team Riders Joe & Rich Molnar continue to put on a great show team display at CRMC Round 6 at Darley Moor

Another solid weekend of results for the team at Darley this weekend on both their 500cc Manx’s and the 916 Ducati’s.

In the 500cc Class Joe & Rich were absolutely even on pace, finishing one behind the other in just about every race.
Joe took 2nd & 3rd & an 8th (after starting nearly 3/4 of a lap down!)
Whilst Rich took 2 x 3rd place, 1 x 2nd and 1 x 1st, his first win in the 500 class this season.

In the 500cc National Rich took 2nd after a race long battle with Joe, who had to retire with a couple of laps to go. This all but secures Rich the 500cc National title, only needing to finish the race in the final round at brands hatch.

Over on the Superbikes, Rich & Dean Widdowson were putting their 916 Ducati’s through their paces despite being down on power on their stock engines.
Rich’s results were 1 x 4th and 3 x 3rd, battling with the much quicker ZXR750 Kawasaki’s and YZF Yamaha’s!
Dean meanwhile took 2 x 6th, and 2 x 4th.

In a Very wet ACU post Classic, Rich finished in 3rd place, with Dean in 6th.

Overall a solid weekend with only minor technical difficulties for one bike.

This weekend Team boss Andy Molnar will be teaming up with his boy Rich for the Goodwood Revival Barry Sheena Memorial Trophy! Be sure to watch the live stream action on YouTube!

A huge well done to the Classic TT Historic Senior Podium finishers!

Great to see Peter Lodge’s ES2 with Mike Browne on board taking the win after a great scrap with Adam McLean on the Flitwick Motorcycles Royal Enfield. Amazing to see a pair of pushrod singles lapping at 110mph+ and so evenly matched.

And finally massive congratulations to Dean Harrison & Team Craven Classic racing for 3rd on the 4 Valve Seeley G50. Originating from our workshop, Ted has done some fantastic work to get that G50 really singing and we’ve no doubt with another year or development, Dean, Ted & the team will be in the fight for the win.

Team Molnar Manx #46 out in front at Donington Classic Festival

Joe Woodward claimed victory last weekend in a close finish in the ACU500 race at Donington Park, pipping Mark Cronshaw on his Seeley G50 by just 0.1 of a second.

That result pulls Joe into 5th place in the ACU500 championship, which is still lead by Team Molnar Manx rider Rich Molnar despite a 2 race absence.

In the 500 club championship Joe took another win, along with 3rd, 4th, and a crash whilst leading.

Over in the Superbike class, Dean Widdowson was making a return from injury on the Ducati 916, and had steady rides throughout the weekend, continuing to develop the new Superbike.

Next up for the Team is CRMC Darley Moor where we will be back to a full team of riders

Team Boss Andy Molnar even put on his leathers for Fridays Classic bike trackday to turn some laps in around one of the countries greatest circuits

On the 5 Axis CNC now is our latest batch of G50 & 7R Cylinder heads.

Cast in L169 Aluminium alloy, our fixtures allow us to fit on a raw, cast cylinder head, and 8 hours later a fully machined, ported and ready to use head comes off, just needs to go in the oven for seats & guides to be fitted!

CNC machining the ports allows us to use CAD designed profiles optimised using Fluid Dynamics software, making sure every head is identical and making top power!

Elsewhere in the Workshop, Vincent Crankcases are on their way through production, along with a batch of 210 Fontana Front Hubs and Norton Roadholder Fork Sliders.

Team Molnar Manx flying in formation at Cadwell Park

CRMC round 3 and the team was back up to full strength with the return of Joe along side Rich Molnar in the 500 class, with Rich also on the Ducati 916 in the Superbike class.

Despite constant changing weather conditions all weekend the team put on a great performance with a few 1-2’s.

In the ACU500 race is where the best show was, with Joe and Rich swapping places for the lead nearly every lap, Joe taking the win, with Rich close behind in 2nd.

In the 500cc GP class, Joe was clearly back to make up for lost time, with 2 wins, a 2nd and a 3rd.
Rich was always in close pursuit, taking 2nd twice, a 4th, and his first DNF of the year due to an oil leak thanks to an inner timing cover screw working its way loose!

Over in the Superbike class, the 916 handling issues seem to be sorted, with Rich pulling moves on every corner on the track. Sadly the Ducati is currently down on power, but now we have it turning how we want to, we can start hunting in the big V twin engine for more horsepower!

In the Superbike Class Rich took 2 x 5th place, 1 x 2nd, and his First win since his return to racing!

In the ACU Post Classic, after a steady start bedding in a new front tyre, Rich finished 5th. A really positive result and showing improvements in the bike.

All these results mean that 3 rounds in, Rich is Leading the 500cc GP Championship, the ACU 500 Championship, and the Superbike championship, with only a point separating him from the lead in the ACU Post Classic

Next round for the CRMC is at Lydden Hill but the team will not be in attendance, our next outing will be at Donington park on the 2nd & 3rd August.
