✅ On other roads, place it at least 45 metres (about 50 paces) behind your car, on the same side
✅ Only put it out if you can do it safely, facing oncoming traffic and staying on the verge or pavement
⚠️ On a bend or hill, put it further back so drivers see it in time
✅ Use your hazard lights as well, and at night keep sidelights on
⚠️ Don't stand behind the car while you wait
