It’s officially Autumn, so we’re willing to bet that pretty soon the heating is going to blasting in your car. 🌡️

BUT if you need to keep the engine on for comfort while parked, consider whether you're in a spot where exhaust fumes could affect pedestrians, children or nearby homes. 😷

On cooler days, use the rule of thumb: if you’re stopped for more than 30 seconds, switch it off. You’ll save fuel and reduce exhaust emissions in busy areas like schools, shops and residential streets.

Small changes can make a huge difference in busy areas where lots of vehicles are coming and going.

“Fantastic garage with great customer service and staff are all friendly and willing to help. I've been going here a few years now and won't use another garage. They are very understanding to my needs as I suffer with anxiety, but am also disabled so can't walk home and have to wait for my cat to be sorted. Darren is an incredible boss who is sensible and doesn't rip people off. He only does work that actually needs to be done. I’ll see you all next year for my service and MOT.”

Your tyres are your only contact with the road. Keeping them in tip-top condition is absolutely essential.

Here are some signs to watch out for, that can indicate your tyres need replacing:

→ Cracks, splits or bulges in the sidewalls.
→ Shallow or uneven tread depth.
→ Excessive vibration while driving.
→ Tyres that lose air and need regular top-ups.
→ Tyres over 5–6 years old, even if they look fine.
