There’s something about a rally-spec Ford Es**rt Mk2… 👌

Fresh from Lustra paint, the shell and panels are now looking exactly as they should and ready for the next stages of the build.

A proper rally-inspired classic, with the finish to match. We’ll be following this one as it continues through the workshop and starts coming back together.

Rebuild underway on the Alfa Spider. 🇮🇹🔧

Attention now turns to carefully bringing everything back together.

Rebuild is where all those individual pieces of a restoration start becoming a complete car again — refitting components, trim and all the details that make the car what it is.

There’s still more to do, but with every part fitted, this Alfa Spider is getting closer to being back where it belongs: on the road.

How much should I budget to restore my classic car? Here's our guide:

I want some repair work, keep the car roadworthy I like the way my car looks, it wears the scars of time well and I just want to enjoy it

🔥Service & Repair- Budget £1k - £15k dependant on condition

I'd like to restore my classic but I'm really budget conscious. I use my Classic all the time. Its no garage queen & I want to prioritise work against usability

🔥 Selective restoration - Budget £15k to £50k

I want to restore my classic to a really nice condition. I try and keep my use to dry weekends only. I attend cars & coffee events & show and want to arrive in style

🔥 Restoration - Budget £40k to £125k

I want the best. A show winner, I'm aiming for the top and don't want to compromise on finish.

🔥Collector Commission - Budget £100k+

Black paint leaves nowhere to hide. 🖤

The Ford Es**rt is progressing through our Lustra paint process, and the finish is really starting to show its depth.

Deep gloss, sharp reflections and careful attention to the details that make the difference — particularly on a colour as unforgiving as black.

With the painted panels and shell now coming together, the Es**rt is another step closer to moving on through its restoration.

After the fun of Croft and Miles of Machines at Great Northern Classics, it’s back to the restorations.

This Mazda RX-7 FD is currently progressing through our Paint Department — and looking rather good in fresh silver. 👌

But out of the gun is not done.

The next stage is all about refinement. The freshly painted surfaces will be carefully finished and polished as the RX-7 continues through our LUSTRA paint process, before final verification of the finish.

It’s a stage that takes time, but it’s also where an already impressive paint finish is taken to another level.

And with those unmistakable RX-7 curves, there’s plenty of surface to show it off.

A few more from Croft 📸🏁

A huge thank you to everyone who brought their cars along and helped make the day what it was — whether you joined the static display, headed out on track, or did a bit of both.

From beautifully presented classics to some seriously special machinery being put through its paces, the variety of cars on the day was fantastic and added so much to the event.

Back from Croft… and straight into getting ready for the next one! 🚗🏁

The cars have been arriving back at following an incredible day at Croft Circuit with Mission Motorsport.

Now our Stages of Restoration showcase is being set up ready for the Miles of Machines show this Saturday at Great Northern Classics.

If you’re coming along, make sure you stop by and take a look at the different stages, skills and craftsmanship that go into bringing a classic car back to life.

It’s shaping up to be another great day surrounded by some fantastic cars. See you Saturday!

**What a day at Croft.**

A massive **thank you** to everyone who got involved, came down, took part and helped make yesterday’s event so special. It was fantastic to see so many people come together in support of such an important cause.

We also want to give a special mention to Mission Motorsport and the incredible work they do. The impact of days like this goes far beyond the cars — bringing people together, creating memorable experiences, and supporting those connected to the Armed Forces community in a truly meaningful way.

So far, the event has helped raise **over £20,000**, with **close to 400 attendees** joining us at Croft — an amazing result and a reflection of the support behind this brilliant day.
