It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much-loved Dad, Pasquale "Paz" Colella, on 12th June 2026.

Paz became the owner and Director of Alexandra Accident Repair Centre on 15th December 1995, but his journey with the business began many years earlier. As a young man, he worked here before moving on to further his career at various garages. He spent over 10 years at Walsworth Motor Company, where he built a fantastic reputation within the motor trade before taking the opportunity to purchase Alexandra Accident Repair Centre from his former boss and returning to the business that meant so much to him.

Paz was incredibly well known and respected throughout the motor trade, particularly for his exceptional talent as a paint sprayer. His skill, dedication and pride in his work earned him the respect of colleagues, customers and friends alike. He had a true passion for the industry and always believed in doing every job to the highest standard.

For over 30 years, he poured his heart and soul into Alexandra Accident Repair Centre, building not just a successful family business, but lasting friendships and a reputation founded on honesty, quality and care. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled in all of us, and we are proud to continue the business in his memory.

Thank you to everyone who has sent kind messages, cards and shared memories with us over the past few weeks. Your support has meant more than words can express during this incredibly difficult time.

Anyone who knew and loved Paz is welcome to join us as we celebrate his life on Thursday 23rd July. The funeral service will be held at 11:30am at Our Lady Immaculate and St Andrew Catholic Church, Hitchin followed by a celebration of his life from 2:00pm at The Kite at The Red Hart.

Please note that the garage will be closed on Thursday 23rd July as we pay our respects and celebrate Paz's life.

Rest in peace, Dad. You will be forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.

This 25 plate Skoda Kamiq came in after a deer strike 🦌 and our team worked their magic 🪄…

We replaced the headlight, bumper & wing, repaired the bonnet 🛠️ and used genuine Skoda parts with manufacturer approved paints ✅

All driving assistance systems were carefully reset & calibrated 🛞 plus a complimentary full valet to finish it off 🧽🫧

This Ford Ranger came to us via the insurance, as per our customers request as their preferred garage. First pic is the end result, but take a look at the before and during shots too! 👉

The vehicle had rear suspension and bodywork damage, meaning it needed a new rear axle and suspension components 🛠️

While it was here, the customer opted for some upgrades too 📈. We enhanced the look of the vehicle by fitting a colour coded wide arch body kit, along with upgraded alloy wheels to suit the new look 😎.

All repairs were carried out using approved methods, genuine Ford parts and paint for that perfect finish.

🔙 Throwback to when we had the pleasure of helping out Feed Up Warm Up, a fantastic local homeless charity 🧡

Their van was in need of some TLC, so we painted and fitted a new door free of charge.

We’re proud to support such an important cause and the incredible work Feed Up Warm Up do - providing food, warmth and compassion to those who need it 👏

We exceeded our £250 target!!! Together we raised an amazing £258.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support!!!! 🙌

Alongside our Coffee Morning on Monday, we also had the pleasure of showing two students from Hitchin Boys’ School around our workshop. They were full of great questions about a career in the industry, stayed for cake and hot chocolate and even donated generously themselves 👏. We wish them both the very best for the future!

Every penny raised makes a difference. To give you an idea:
💚 £185 could provide emotional support to someone living with cancer for around eight weeks.
💚 £250 can help fund a Macmillan Grant – providing vital support for people with cancer to cover extra costs like heating bills, travel to hospital appointments and more.

So your donations really do go a long way. Thank you once again to everyone who baked, donated and supported – you’re all amazing!!!
