Gerry is an amazing driving instructor. His encouragement and calm teaching manner has helped my daughter pass her test first time. She really enjoyed her lessons with Gerry and I can see from her driving that he has taught her the skills and given her the confidence needed for today's road users. Would thoroughly recommend Gerry to anyone who is learning to drive! Always knew how to make lessons fun but also incredibly worth while! Gerry has a great understanding of how inexperienced drivers cope in specific situations, which is great as he can give you precise tips on how to improve and what to do in the future. All in all, I'd recommend anyone to Gerry! Kirstie Marie Lumm reviewed Gerrys" A STAR Driving Academy – 5 star

so I passed with gerry a few weeks ago, he's a brilliant instructor as well as a top bloke with a heart of gold! it took me quite a while to learn to drive taking a break in between as went back to college, when I was nearing the end of uni I got back in touch with gerry to finish what we started I've had other instructors before none compare to gerry, this year has been a tough one trying to find time to fit in driving gerry was very accommodating and understood that life gets in the way some times he has a way of making u forget it all and turning it around within a lesson, I would highly recommend gerry even though you'll have to wait it's worth it, having a car makes my life soo much easier now I've qualified thanks to gerrys patience I now get home in time to put my little lady to bed, thanks again gerry xx

Sweden went ALL IN on screens in schools.

Tablets in preschool. Laptops instead of textbooks. More online learning. Less traditional instruction.

Basically, they did exactly what we’ve been told education is supposed to look like in the “digital age.”

Then they started looking at the results... and went, yeah, maybe we screwed this up.

Swedish fourth-grade reading scores dropped significantly between 2016 and 2021. There were growing concerns about concentration, reading comprehension, and kids becoming way too dependent on devices.

So Sweden started reversing course.

Preschools no longer have to use digital tools. Screen use for kids under 6 is being pulled back dramatically. The government has poured more than 2.1 BILLION Swedish krona into actual printed textbooks and teacher materials. Handwriting, quiet reading, and face-to-face discussion are being emphasized again. Phones are getting kicked out of classrooms.

Think about how crazy that is.

One of the most technologically advanced countries in the world basically looked at the experiment and said, **Give the kids their BOOKS back.**

And I love this part because Sweden isn't exactly some country terrified of technology.

They embraced it earlier than most.

They just had the guts to look at the results and admit that putting a screen in front of a kid for everything might not actually make them smarter.

Novel concept.

Technology absolutely belongs in education. Kids need to understand AI, computers, and the digital world they're going to live in.

But maybe a 6-year-old doesn't need an iPad shoved in front of their face for half the school day.

Maybe reading an actual book still matters.

Maybe handwriting still matters.

Maybe sitting in a classroom and having to PAY ATTENTION without clicking, swiping, scrolling, or getting instant stimulation is actually a skill worth developing.

We spent years acting like putting everything on a screen automatically made it “innovation.”

Sweden is starting to figure out that sometimes the smarter technology policy is knowing when to turn the damn thing off.
