🚗 This is why checking your tyres is so important! 🚗
This vehicle came to us with a flat rear tyre. The customer had checked the tread depth and saw it was still above the legal limit, so understandably thought a nail or puncture was the cause.
However, once we removed the wheels, we discovered that both rear tyres were worn through to the cords on the inner edges. This type of wear isn't always visible during a quick inspection and can easily go unnoticed.
⚠️ Driving on tyres exposed to the cords is extremely dangerous and puts you at serious risk of a blowout or loss of vehicle control.
Regular tyre inspections should include checking the entire tyre surface—not just the visible tread—and ensuring wheel alignment and suspension components are in good condition.
Thankfully, this issue was found before a more serious incident occurred.
