Osborne Bay is one of the most popular anchoring spots on the Solent - and there's a lot more to it than just a great swim.

The bay sits directly in front of Osborne House, Queen Victoria's beloved royal residence on the Isle of Wight and one of the island’s most famous landmarks.

The beach itself has a fascinating WWII history, having been used for D-Day landing practice.

A brilliant stop for lunch, a swim, and a bit of scenery before heading into Cowes.
