the motoring industry. Ever since its foundation in 1991, D R Recovery has been consistently at the forefront of offering motoring services to the local community. Simply put: we exist to make vehicle recovery safer, easier and more affordable for you, our customers. Headquartered in the heart of Surrey, D R Recovery was founded in the 90’s. The then one-man operation began with Dave Wingham. Fondly known as ‘Dave the Crane’ for his work as a crane driver in the mid-seventies, Dave began recovering and recycling vehicles in the South Godstone and surrounding areas with only a single recovery truck! Dave quickly established himself within the local community and a number of reputable vehicle repair centres. In 2003 Dave’s son Marc, and a mechanic by trade, joined the firm, and the business continued to grow. In 2020, Dave sadly passed away. Today, Dave’s legacy lives on through the dedication, love and passion of his two sons, Marc and Paul. That’s us! We are an energetic duo, and like our dad, we believe that professionalism and friendliness can coexist in the motoring industry. But we think of ourselves as more than just a recovery company. We are proud to partner with other great local businesses and serve our community.
