We are a small friendly company servicing, maintaining, customising Land Rovers and Range Rovers to the Essex, London and Hertfordshire community.

At Broadfields Garage Ltd we are a small friendly company with over 12 years experience in maintaining Land Rovers. We are fully Land Rover trained to a high level of standard in all areas. We are happy to carry out all repair from electrical to mechanical, we can carry out full diagnostic fault code reading and repair on faults stored within the vehicles control units. We can also carry out air conditioning services, repairs and decontamination. 🔍 Tracking Down an Air Con Leak: Discovery Sport

Air con not blowing cold? This Discovery Sport had a leak, and finding it properly takes more than guesswork.

Our technicians added trace dye to the system to pinpoint exactly where the refrigerant was escaping. The dye led us to the evaporator (you can see it glowing along the seam in the photo). Because it sits behind the dashboard, replacing it meant stripping the dash right out.

Diagnosed properly, fixed properly. No replacing parts on a hunch.

🔍 Stolen Vehicle Recovery: Land Rover Discovery Sport

This Discovery Sport came to us after being recovered following a theft, and it wasn’t starting as it should.

A vehicle that’s been stolen and recovered can have all sorts of hidden issues: damaged wiring, interfered-with modules, disturbed connections and more. So our technicians stripped back the boot trim and worked through the electrical systems step by step to find out what was going on.

This Range Rover Velar came in for a rear wheel bearing replacement.

Wheel bearings allow the wheels to rotate smoothly and support the weight of the vehicle, so wear here can cause a range of issues… from a humming or grinding noise to uneven tyre wear, or in more serious cases, affecting handling and safety.

Our technicians got the worn bearing replaced and the vehicle back on the road, running smooth and quiet as it should be.

If you’ve noticed a droning noise that changes with speed, or a wheel that feels a little loose, it’s worth getting it checked sooner rather than later.
