Did you know...? 🧐 One of the most famous Bentleys in history passed through the P & A Wood workshops?
Meet 'Olga' – the prototype Bentley R Type Continental, first unveiled on 20th August 1951. Registered OLG 490, she became the benchmark for Bentley's high-performance grand tourers. With an aluminium body, frame and bumpers to keep weight down, Olga's sleek fastback design and remarkable performance captured the world's attention.
After travelling over 400,000 miles, Olga arrived at P & A Wood for a full restoration. Carefully dismantled to the bare chassis, every stage of the rebuild was carried out with one goal in mind: preserving her originality while returning her to 'as new' condition.
We're incredibly proud to have played a part in preserving such an important piece of Bentley history.
