The importance of servicing your vehicle🚘
A full service includes the replacement of Air Filter, Pollen Filter, Fuel Filter/ Spark Plugs, Oil Filter and Engine Oil. Vehicle checks are carried out including brake fluid levels, screen wash levels and coolant levels and strength, if any are found to be low then a top up is supplied to the correct level. Vehicle checks to the suspension, tyres, steering and critical components of a car are also carried out to ensure the vehicle is safe and functioning correctly on the road. All four wheels are removed during a full service and the hubs are cleaned and re-greased for good maintenance.

This Nissan was very much in need for a service. This is one of the pollen ( also known as cabin) filters which cleans the air entering the cabin, traps dust, pollen, exhaust fumes and pollutants. This provides fresh breathable air, when a pollen filter gets clogged it can increase risks of hay fever and allergens and often creates a musty or dirty smell in the cabin.
It can also damage the performance of the heating and cooling systems within the car.

This week we had a new customer who’s cambelt was due for replacement in which we carried out, however we found the front crank shaft seal was leaking oil directly onto the belt which is exactly what you do not want to see! After discussing with our customer we replaced the front crank seal and bolt and then completed the cambelt.

Check your owners handbook to check your cambelt intervals and contact us if you need to get booked in⚙️

This week we had an annual well needed full service for this Hyundai🚘

A full service includes air filter, pollen filter, fuel filter and spark plugs dependant on vehicle type, oil filter and oil change and check all fluids and top ups if required. It also includes a full vehicle inspection with removal of wheels.

We had a call out to a customer who had a knocking/rattling noise on their passenger side, upon inspection we found the coil spring had broken and this part was loose and rattling around the suspension.

Customer advised not to drive the car due to safety and a new coil spring has been ordered ready to replace to get them back on the road.
