Derby HO Racing Club We have run HO since 1992 and Carrera Digital since 2022 with SmartRace

Despite our Carrera Digital Ruapuna Raceway evening being just three days ago, we only have a week to go to our Road Atlanta weekend event on Friday 23Oct26 between 6pm and 10pm and then Saturday 24Oct26 from 9am to 1pm followed by 1:30pm to 5:30pm.

As usual each session will include two 15-minute GT Endurance Races and one 5-minute Sprint Race, plus a 5-minute NASCAR race for the teams that have signed up.

We have raced our undulating 109’9” Road Atlanta circuit nine times, all of them being Endurance Races, six times in 2023 and three times in 2024. Of the racers taking part over the weekend Victor de Oliveira and Simon Goodlip have both won two races a piece and Nick Sismey one.

The standard fuel usage at Road Atlanta will be 8% per lap. Based on the average of the sixth placed lap time from the last three races at Road Atlanta plus 0.200 seconds the 25% extra fuel lap time will be 8.700 seconds.

Thanks again for letting us know your availability for the weekend so quickly, attached are Issue 1 of the Race Groups for each session.

Please note that unfortunately we have lost Scott Bradley, who wrote a lovely leaving note on the WhatsApp Group, all the best Scott. Colin Blake has gone onto the Reserves as he is so busy at present, which releases Ian Cowlishaw off the Reserve list into the top 36 racers. Ivor (Ferg) Ferguson and C**t Holland have now joined the Reserves below Daryl Russell and above Colin. We also have the four Weekend racers, totalling 44 Carrera Digital Members at present.

For the next two races, Road Atlanta on Friday 23Oct and Saturday 24Oct together with Interlagos on 27Oct there is no Stand Down, hence everyone on the Stand Down chart is eligible to race.

Congratulations to Macaully Dutson for being the biggest improver on the Ranking Chart, moving up six places to 28th. Please note the Ranking Chart has now been split into two due to its size.

Thanks to all who have advised your availability for the above two meetings. Both have a few TBA’s which we will resolve ASAP.

Issue 1 of the Race Groups for the three Road Atlanta sessions will be issued tomorrow, a week before the first race on this iconic circuit!

Finally, please find attached the Carrera Digital Team Group Challenge after Rounds 45, 46 and 47 at Ruapuna.

With Simon Goodlip leading both the Endurance and Sprint Championships and Phil Rees the Group Challenge their Team Audistang is also extending its lead in the Team Group Challenge with the gap growing from 29.5 to 41.0 points over Team Old Rollers consisting of Richard Booth and Nick Sismey.

Team Gray Hounds consisting of Stuart and Tom Gray, who both took Group wins in New Zealand, jump up a place to third another 11.5 points back.

The Segrob Ceinats and M&S teams are only 1.5 and 3.5 points further back!

Please find attached the updated 70+ Carrera Digital Group Challenge, after our Southern Hemisphere trip, which was bolstered by new member Ivor (Ferg) Ferguson who took us up to seven 70+ gentleman racers!

Taking second place overall in the Group Challenge Andrew Staniec must still lead the 70+ Group Challenge, however Richard Booth matched him toe to toe during the evening meaning the gap remains at 12.5 points.

Stuart Gray maintains third but drops four points to go 25.0 behind now.

Please find attached the updated Carrera Digital Group Challenge after the three Rounds in New Zealand taking us to 47 Rounds for the year.

Phil Rees extends his lead from 6.5 to 17.0 points as his total rises to 196.0 points thanks to the second highest number of Group points at Ruapuna, 20. Only Lee Stokes scored more with 20.5 as he jumped from 30th to 24th.

Andrew Staniec finds himself in second now thanks to his three Group wins on Tuesday, up from fifth, while Liam Smith drops to third, however just half a point separates them.

The next three racers, Martin Thorpe, Tom Gray and Simon Goodlip are only covered by another 5.0 points in what could become a very tight title race!

Please find attached the updated Carrera Digital Sprint Race Championship following Round 15 at last night’s Ruapuna Raceway.

The top three remain the same however Simon Goodlip extends his lead over the absent Steve White by 11 points to 41 with Victor de Oliveira’s fifth Sprint Race win of the year taking him to within 8 points of Steve.
