That’s three track days in three days complete 💪

Croft on Wednesday, Curborough on Thursday and Bicester on Friday (today). The Caterham should hopefully be fixed tomorrow 🤞 and then it’s Anglesey on Monday 😁

The three track days this week have all been fantastic for their own reasons 😁

Car of the day at Bicester today was hard fought. But due to how it handled the circuit and how well driven it was, it went to Mark Kuehn’s Ford Es**rt mk2 rally car with a Vauxhall red top engine on throttle bodies 😎

There was this weird thing called rain at our Curborough track day today. It didn’t last long though and it dried up very quickly 💪

Thank you to everyone that was a part of today. It’s a pleasure to see you enjoy your cars and see your driving confidence grow 😁

Today’s car of the day was Ben Rollings’ Mini John Cooper Works 😎

Ben had done some track stuff in the past, but never in his own car. His Mini was a brilliant example of a car that can do the commute, take the kids places and be awesome on track 🚗🏁

Ben brought his mum, Chris, along for the ride. Chris seemed impressed with Ben’s driving, but after Ben left his braking very late on one run she decided that spectating was better for her health 😆

Looking forward to Bicester tomorrow!

The MX-5 wasn’t meant to be out again until September for the Wearside Targa Rally. The car gods had different plans. We had a slight bit of trouble with the Caterham sump on Sunday. Turns out the road and sump are not as good friends as I thought 😂

So, whilst my friend Tom at Coldside Engineering Ltd performs surgery on the sump, the Mazda gets to play at Croft.

New PBS ProTrack brake pads installed, the usual spanner check and back on the Giti semi slicks 💪

Really looking forward to getting on track at Croft for the first time tomorrow. And can’t wait to see everyone from Mission Motorsport.

We’re at Curborough Sprint Course on Thursday. And due to car issues, we tentatively have a space available. Please comment or message me if you’re interested.

Then on Friday we’re at Bicester, which should be an awesome way to finish the week 😁 Spaces are still available, again please comment or message me if you’re interested 🙂

I should have the Caterham sump back on Friday. We’ll find out on Saturday if the Caterham or MX-5 is going to Anglesey 😅

Later today, I’m planning to send out final instructions for our track day at Bicester next Friday. We’ve got a handful of spaces remaining, so you can still book your place 😁

I teased a couple of additional track days about a month ago, but may have only shared them via our email newsletter. Whoops!

Due to all of the existing dates selling out, I've added two more dates at Curborough Sprint Course this year. They are:
Tuesday 15th September
Friday 16th October

Hopefully you can make one of them 😁

I'm home after another weekend of spanner-ing at Cadwell Park with Paul Sheard 💪

Compared to the rest of August, I've got a relatively quiet week ahead. Plans for 2027 have started and I'm looking forward to a few conversations this week. After this week, it's non-stop until September.

This Sunday, Ash and I will be taking part in Loughborough Car Club's Welland Valley Wander. A different gear to our usual events, but one we're looking forward to. It's a a tour through Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire finding hidden England. All proceeds will go to LOROS, the Leicestershire and Rutland hospice.

Then I've got three track days in a row! 😅

First up, Wednesday afternoon with Mission Motorsport at Croft Circuit. It was my first time at the circuit last month with the MX-5s and it looked awesome. So, I'm really looking forward to driving it myself.

We're then at Curborough Sprint Course for one of our afternoon track days. I love these days. They're a great mix of track time with minimal waiting and socialising with fellow car enthusiasts.

And on Friday we're at Bicester, which is probably the only track where you'll find quilted toilet paper 😆 Bicester was a new venue to us this year and it's already established itself as one of our favourites. For the first couple of hours, we run the track anticlockwise with a couple of chicanes to ease you into it. For the final two hours, we run the track clockwise with a single, more open, chicane to stretch the legs of your car and test out your braking from high speeds. Weirdly, September has sold out before August. Therefore, it's not too late for you to book on!

Today was TorqTraction’s Track and Connect event at Curborough, which we ran for them.

For quite a few attendees, it was their first time ever time on track and unsurprisingly they loved it! The veterans obviously enjoyed themselves too 😄

The mix of cars was cool today. From TorqTraction’s resurrected competition Nissan Micra to Inspired Automotive’s Porsche GT4 RS. And amazingly, we didn’t have a single ‘double’, every car in attendance today was a different make and model 😎

Our car of the day was Mike Dinardo’s BMW Z3. Earlier this week, after spending far too long replacing the rear axle, he took his silver Z3 out for a test drive. All was well and he was overjoyed to be driving his pride and joy again. But horror struck when he tried to load it on the trailer, the clutch release bearing failed. So, to avoid missing out on this track day, he travelled to Southampton, from Preston, to buy another Z3. Serious commitment or someone has a car buying problem 😆 Turns out it was a good purchase. Mike managed 50+ laps of Curborough today and the Z3 took them like a champ 💪

Three Sisters Track Day ✅

Spectators are free of charge and encouraged! If you can pop by for part of the day, please do come and say hi 👋

The Sprinter’s Rest cafe will be open from 9am. For those surviving the summer holidays, grab yourself a cuppa and/or treat yourself to some delicious grub whilst the kids watch some fast cars 😋🚗

Today was our annual track day at Three Sisters Circuit 🏁

We had an amazing day. A fantastic group of drivers, a great mix of cars and a fabulous time. Thank you to everyone that was a part of it.

Our car of the day was Anna’s Maserati Coupe 😎 Not a car you see very often nowadays and definitely not something you see on track. But given how much Anna enjoyed herself, I think we may be missing a trick!

After a Track Attack evening, today was Anna’s first ever full track day 💪 Getting people on track for the first time and enjoying themselves is one of the main reasons Ollie’s Secret Track Days exists 😄

Anna also brought along her Dad and fellow Maserati owner Martin, it’s lovely to see cars bringing people together 🤗
