Vehicles Previously Rustproofed by Mobile Services

We’re often asked if we can take on vehicles that have previously been rustproofed by a mobile service.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a market we work within. Because we cannot verify the preparation, conditions or products used during a mobile application, we’re unable to take responsibility for applying our treatment over existing work.

This isn’t a criticism of other businesses or their methods — it’s simply about maintaining our own standards and being able to stand behind the work we carry out.

For that reason, we politely decline vehicles previously rustproofed by mobile services.

Why Proper Rustproofing Isn’t a Mobile Job

Professional rustproofing requires controlled workshop conditions, thorough preparation and sufficient curing time. The vehicle must be clean and completely dry before treatment, with undertrays, wheel-arch liners and other covers removed so hidden corrosion-prone areas can be properly accessed.

Dinitrol must then be professionally applied at the correct temperature using suitable high-pressure equipment. Depending on the products, weather and conditions, the complete protective system can take at least seven days to settle and cure properly.

A mobile application carried out outdoors or on a driveway cannot reliably control temperature, moisture, contamination or curing conditions. Applying protection over dampness, dirt or untreated corrosion risks trapping moisture underneath and can create the appearance of protection without delivering the long-term result.
