IT’S FIRST TIME PASS MONDAY 🥇 Huge congratulations go to Devyn on Passing her Driving Test earlier this morning at Musselburgh Driving Test Centre.

Devyn has the Enviable Record of the Only Student I have ever had who has Not Once Failed to Forward Bay Park Within the Lines - Ever, including her first attempt. 👏 Today’s test, left turn from Test Centre - First Exit into shopping centre, Forward Bay - job done! 👍

Devyn, it’s been fantastic to get you to this point, we’ve had our Good Days and those days where we’ve had to Reverse Bay Park…🤔, but it all fell into place and culminated in a Pass.

Happy Motoring, Dougie

Took time to get some exercise, clear my head and explore the far north of Scotland, but had to share the scenery with a few million of those pesky wee bloodsucking, flying, misery inducing, bog loving, tourist chasing, icons of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿… then it rained🌧️, then the sun ☀️ came out as if nothing had happened.

Mirror Checks are super important but can also be a little stressful. Keep calm, remember they can see you and sometimes the driver behind has no choice but to get close. Rural roads sometimes just have to be a compromise.

IT’S FIRST TIME PASS THURSDAY TIME 🥇. Massive congratulations go to Sid in celebration of his PASS this morning at Haddington Driving Test Centre with only 2 driving faults.

When you first started driving with me your driving confidence wasn’t so great, so it was up to me to get all that behind you and have some fun doing it. You did the hard work gaining trust in your own ability to make decisions.

I distinctly remember your left hand positioning over the indicator stalk at the precise point a signal was needed but waiting, waiting waiting.
In the words of the great fictional philosopher & boxing coach, ‘Mickey Goldmill’ in the films Rocky I/II/III/V - “DO IT!”

Sid, a well deserved pass, it’s been a pleasure assisting you in your journey and meeting you and your family.

Happy Motoring, Dougie

IT’S FIRST TIME PASS THURSDAY 🥇- NO UNLUCKY 13th AUGUST HERE.
Huge Congratulations to EVA on PASSING her Driving Test at Musselburgh Test Centre today with only 2 driving faults.

QUESTION: (Eva had loads of questions)
How do you pass a Driving Test?
ANSWER: (I had loads of answers)
Know what you’re doing, and be confident in your ability.

Eva, you kept me on my toes with your (TikTok related) questions, but you excelled in taking everything on board, having no fear and giving every challenge 100%. I should also say you were fully supported by your parents, you reported back what you had practiced and any challenges encountered.

Well done.

FINALLY: Just remember, when it comes to Reverse Bay Parking - ‘Everybody has got the choice between Hot Dogs & Hamburgers’ - choose one 🤠
