IT’S FIRST TIME PASS IN THE SUN THURSDAY.

Massive Congratulations go to Yury on passing his Driving Test at Musselburgh earlier this morning on such a beautiful day.

Mind you… Yury, or I would now refer to him as
‘DOUGIE, I’VE MUCKED IT UP YURY’,
is the only candidate I’ve had to genuinely question the examiner on his decision to award a pass.
Yury “Are you sure, how can that be?”
Examiner “We’ll tell me where you think you failed?”
Yury “Well I, I, I thought at the…”
Examiner “You stalled, you don’t fail for stalling”

Anyway, it’s been a laugh, thanks for the music recommendations, you got the result you deserved.

For those of you who know me, you will be aware that I am a keen cyclist and at one point, before I could afford a car, cycling was how I got to work.

One for the young folk 🤣

Suzi Quatro took her UK driving test this week after unknowingly breaking the law for 54 years.

Quatro moved to the UK from Detroit aged 21 in 1971 and only discovered in January that her US driving licence was only valid for 12 months after entering the country, meaning she's been driving illegally here since 1972.

"I was told when I started to drive in this country that my American licence was fine," 75-year-old Quatro told The Mirror earlier this week. "And over the years I was insured, I had speeding tickets."

"Can you believe it?" she continued. "I only found out in January because the US laws changed too, and they won’t renew your American licence unless you can prove you have been in the particular state your license is from for the last six months, and of course, I can't. I live here. So I needed a British licence.

"I'm 75, for god’s sake. I’ve been driving since I was 16."

Quatro took her test on Wednesday 18th March and thankfully passed at the first attempt.

Breaking the good news to The Mirror, she enthused: "I passed! I’m so pleased. It’s such a relief. I got a couple of minors, nothing big. Honest to God, it’s a joke - Im 75. I've been driving since I was 16.

"My husband was so pleased. He sent messages all over the world to friends of ours. He’s so proud. At 75 it's quite an achievement."

She added: "I told my instructor 'I'm going to have a glass of Champagne'. 'You won’t drive after that, will you?' he joked. 'I will not', I told him."

☀️ IT’S PASS FIRST TIME IN THE SUN THURSDAY ☀️. Massive congratulations to Emil on Passing his Driving Test this afternoon at Musselburgh Driving Test Centre, well done.

Emil, didn’t I tell you that after you Passed your Driving Test, you would look back at those junctions that you disliked and think to yourself,
“Just what was the problem, they’re actually not that difficult”.

It’s been great assisting you to reach your goal, becoming a confident driver. As you said, it was up to you to put the effort in, and you did just that. Good on you.

IT’S PASS FIRST TIME FRIDAY THE 13th. No bad luck here, just nice driving.
Congratulations go to Yetunde who passed her Driving Test at Musselburgh Driving Test Centre this morning with only 2 driving faults.

It was Four Seasons in One Driving Test today, however the sun shone bright on a nice result, that’s what Scotland’s all about 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

Yetunde, it’s been a pleasure helping you achieve your driving goal, and look forward to hearing about your progress. You even have your first major trip planned, a trip to Perth - couldn’t think of a better place to drive to. It’s been an education on both sides too, I now know more about Nigeria’s 🇳🇬 top selling musicians than I did before.

Apparently, it turns out that you’re not the first of your family to pass their Driving Test on Friday the 13th either.🤔

IT’S PASS FIRST TIME FRIDAY. Congratulations go to Melissa who passed her Driving Test at Haddington Driving Test Centre this morning.

The dark rain clouds 🌧️ parted and the sun shone 🌤️ on Melissa’s test, which was lucky because the mixture of light rain, salt and grit from the roads made keeping the windows and mirrors clean somewhat difficult. 🤯

Melissa, it’s been a pleasure getting you on the road and It’s great to know that having this skill will benefit you in your photography work. I’ll look out for you front of stage documenting bands performing. Hopefully I’ll see some more of your work in the future.
