Since then more than 100,000 vehicles have rolled off the production lines and our distinctive, reliable taxis can be seen on the streets of cities and towns around the world. The development of our latest model, the TX4, included more than 1,000,000 miles of specific taxi duty cycle testing and we are confident that no

other taxi is as robust as (or can hold residual values as well as) the TX series. And the current London Taxi is the cleanest, most efficient and smoothest cab to drive, ever. And we haven't stopped there - The VN5 Van launched in the summer of 2020. Three variants are available – Business, City and Ultima - with a high level of standard equipment and always with the demands of the user in mind. Experience an iconic 'Blue Book' run with one of London's youngest black cab drivers.

The Knowledge is renowned as one of the world's most demanding and respected vocational qualifications, requiring drivers to memorise 320 routes across the capital and thousands of streets and landmarks within a six-mile radius of Charing Cross.

Alongside working a full-time job, Connor completed The Knowledge in just 2.5 years, joining the ranks of some of the world's most knowledgeable and professional drivers.

Calling all aspiring black cab drivers! From the 20th June, Transport for London will be offering Knowledge of London candidates a year of free Santander Cycle rides. 🚲🏙

With more than 1,300 candidates currently working towards the Knowledge, this new initiative aims to reduce the cost of training, while also helping candidates build practical experience on the roads by learning central London's road network more efficiently.

Interest in the Knowledge of London continues to grow, with applications rising by nearly 70 per cent in recent years and reaching their highest level in a decade.👏🤯

In 2018, we partnered with the University of York to explore how driving an electric taxi affects driver wellbeing. Using electroencephalogram (EEG) technology, researchers monitored the brain activity of London taxi drivers as they completed the same route in both an electric TX and a traditional diesel cab.

Dr Duncan Williams said: “This study proved hugely interesting. The drivers all reported being calmer, less stressed and happier in the electric taxi than in the old diesel model. Traditionally those feelings would correlate with more Alpha brain waves, which are a good indicator of relaxation. But when we looked at the data, the drivers’ showed more Beta brain waves, an indicator of mental activity and attention.

For professional drivers who spend long hours navigating busy city streets, comfort and wellbeing matter. This study highlighted how the transition to electric mobility can positively influence the driving experience itself - something that remains just as relevant today as it did when TX first entered service.
