Charlotte & Sam spent the afternoon at GSF TechFest at Wembley in London and it was definitely an afternoon well spent! 🙌

It was a great opportunity to speak directly with suppliers, strengthen the brilliant relationship we have with GSF as our main parts supplier and get hands on with some of the new and upcoming technology and equipment coming into the automotive industry. 🚗⚙️

And of course, we couldn’t go all that way without doing a little shopping… 😂

🔋 A new battery stabiliser purchased
🔧 A new scissor ramp ordered for the workshop

🖊️ And perhaps most importantly… Charlotte came away with SIX new pens! 😂

We’re always looking at ways we can continue to invest in our workshops, equipment and relationships with our suppliers. This all ultimately helps our teams provide an even better service to our customers.

🚐🔧 TOO LONG FOR THE RAMP? Not a problem at All Trans! 🔧🚐

This Ford Transit Custom was originally booked in elsewhere to have its wet belt replaced, but when it arrived, there was one slight problem… the van was too long for their ramps! 😬

That’s where we came in. 🙌

With our workshop set up to accommodate larger vans, commercial vehicles and even motorhomes, we were able to get this Transit Custom in and get the job done.

✅ Job completed and all good
🚐 Back on the road!

Wet belt replacement is an important maintenance job and definitely not one to keep putting off when it becomes due.

🚐🔧 MOT PASSED AND READY FOR THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME! 🔧🚐

This Peugeot Boxer camper van came into All Trans Autos in Stanway for its MOT and passed with just one advisory: the OSF outer CV boot was deteriorated.

The customer is planning to travel around the world in the vehicle for the next 18 months — something we’re very jealous about! 🌍🚐

Before setting off, they wanted the CV boot replaced, so we got it booked in and carried out the repair.

🚗🔧 WATER LEAK AND ENGINE BAY NOISE? We have it covered! 🚗 🔧

This Skoda Kodiaq arrived at our workshop after the customer noticed a water leak. Their usual mechanic had already looked at the vehicle but couldn’t find anything obvious.

Jon carried out a visual inspection but couldn’t find any physical signs of a coolant leak. He then ran the vehicle up and carried out a cooling system pressure test, which came back all clear.

To investigate further, Jon removed the intake air temperature sensor and used a borescope to inspect inside. The sensor was damp when it should have been dry, indicating that coolant was getting into the intake system.

A further borescope inspection of the charge cooler and intake tract confirmed that the charge cooler was leaking internally.

The customer had also reported a noise coming from the engine bay. The auxiliary belt was removed, but the noise continued, pinpointing the issue to the timing belt area.

🔍 Cooling system pressure tested
🛠️ Internal charge cooler leak diagnosed
🔧 Charge cooler replaced
🔧 Timing belt and water pump replaced
✅ Vehicle checked over and all good

The Skoda Kodiaq is now repaired and back on the road.

🚗🔧 HEARING A KNOCKING NOISE? NEED YOUR BRAKE FLUID CHANGED? Bring it to All Trans Autos in Stanway! 🔧🚗

This Honda Integra arrived at our workshop with two concerns: a knocking noise and a requested brake fluid change. We carried out a thorough inspection to find the cause and get both jobs sorted safely.

Jon took the Integra out for a test drive before getting it onto the ramp and carrying out a thorough inspection. We found that the knocking noise was being caused by a worn engine mount.

🔧 Engine mount replaced
✅ Knocking noise no longer apparent
🔍 Vehicle checked over

Unfortunately, while carrying out the brake fluid change, we found that one of the calipers had a seized bleed ni**le. When we attempted to remove it, the ni**le broke, meaning replacement parts were needed.

The required parts had unfortunately been discontinued, so the customer sent the calipers away to a specialist company for refurbishment. Once they were returned, we refitted everything and completed the work.

🚗 All good and ready to go!

🚨🚐 GRINDING INTO GEAR? This Transit Custom was telling its owner something wasn’t right! ⚙️😬

This Ford Transit Custom came into All Trans after the customer reported grinding and difficulty selecting gears, particularly 2nd.

Jon got straight onto the investigation, road testing the van to experience the fault himself before carrying out further checks. 🔍🔧

The gear selector and cables were operating correctly, but further investigation pointed towards an internal gearbox failure affecting 2nd gear and the synchro.

With the fault diagnosed, we gave the customer a price for the repair. They were happy to go ahead, so it was over to Tony! 💪

While the van was with us, the customer also decided to have the wet belt replaced as it was due, giving them that extra peace of mind for the future. 👌

✅ Replacement gearbox fitted
✅ New clutch fitted
✅ Wet belt replaced
✅ Reassembled and thoroughly tested
✅ Gear selection back as it should be!

One visit, some big jobs ticked off and a Transit Custom back on the road! 🚐💨
