When a brake rotational noise is left for 6-8 weeks it develops to more than just discs and pads! Luckily it was a case of new discs, pads and a new caliper with a full system bleed and it was back to full operation.

Amongst being very busy recently which we are ever grateful for, was this, one of a few recoveries. This vehicle had been purchased less than a year ago but unfortunately the wetbelt had gone causing large engine damage. Looking back on the history it hadn’t been changed, with the intervals being 8 years at the absolute maximum and the vehicle being 12 years old it had had its time. After being recovered and appraised the vehicle was sent for breaking due to uneconomical costs involved.

Spark plugs!

We had a vehicle recently with an illuminated EML along with poor running, once scanned we started investigating and fairly shortly found the culprit, although spark plugs should be changed in accordance with routine maintenance these had used all up all their 9 lives and more! New set along with new coil packs due to poor condition and it was back fault free.

This Skoda was an extensive strip down due to running over some stray metal on the motorway.
Although the piece was reportedly quite unsuspecting in size it caused a lot of damage to the whole front end, we had to remove, inspect and replace parts in the radiator pack area, air con system, underside and some other front componentry. The vehicle was repaired with genuine parts and was back to full OE functionality.

Amongst plenty of work this year of all kinds, we’ve had a fair share of recoveries and collecting stranded cars, on all but a very few occasions we have managed to get out same day.

One of many jobs we have tackled recently was this manual Audi rs4 suspension job. With a European trip on the horizon we managed to fit a full set of KW V3 coilovers and blank the hydraulic system linking all 4 corners of the suspension together, reason being the new coilover kit didn’t utilise the hydraulic system, following this, setting the whole kit up and multiple tests to confirm no drivability issues. The car was a much more enjoyable vehicle afterwards with many more miles to cover after the refresh.

Having been so busy recently it has impacted our activity, however we’ve been through a spell of doing lots of clutch work amongst other large and time consuming jobs.

See this vehicle, it was only 4.5 years old but has been used for towing for the majority of its life, the customer reported sudden loss of all drive resulting in recovery in and remedial work. New genuine parts used and back to towing.
