Rules for parking on Double Yellow Lines from The Highway Code🚗
You MUST NOT wait or park on yellow lines during the times of operation shown on nearby time plates (or zone entry signs if in a Controlled Parking Zone.)
Double yellow lines indicate a prohibition of waiting at any time even if there are no upright signs.
You MUST NOT wait, park, or stop to set down and pick up passengers, on school entrance markings when upright signs indicate a prohibition of stopping.

Our Driving Instructors believe in teaching a pupil how to learn to drive and not to just pass the driving test.

If you're learning to drive then family members or friends can help you with extra practice. Theres a lot of knowledge out there but always follow the DVLA website and Highway Code. 👩‍💻

We have put some info here but as always, your driving instructor is here to help. 🚗 Share this post with the person is free to help you.

You can supervise a family member or friend who is learning to drive if:
🚗 You’re at least 21 years old
🚗 You’re qualified to drive the type of vehicle they’re driving - for example, you must have a manual car licence if you’re supervising someone in a manual car
🚗 You’ve had a full driving licence for at least 3 years (from the UK, the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein)
🚗 You are not currently banned from driving
🚗 It’s illegal to accept any payment, including money for fuel, when you’re supervising someone who’s learning to drive.
🚗 You must know and be able to apply all the rules in The Highway Code to supervise a learner.

Ask the learner’s driving instructor if they can give you a lesson before you start supervising the learner. This will help you avoid passing on:
🚗 Any bad driving habits you’ve developed
🚗 Old techniques that may have been updated since you passed your driving test.

Check the car you want to use is suitable
🚗 The learner can practise driving with you in any make or model of car.

The car you use must:
🚗 be fitted with L plates - these must be on the front and the back of the car
🚗 be taxed
🚗 have a valid MOT (if it needs one)
🚗 be safe to drive
🚗 be registered with DVLA

We want our students to be successful in the whole journey of learning to drive, which is why we give our pupils access to Theory Test Pro - an app that gets students to answer questions and watch hazard perception videos.

Once a student has paid a deposit they'll receive their access to practice whilst on the waiting list. It contains all the official revision test questions licensed from the DVSA, the people who set the tests.

This app has been designed to help instructors support pupils with their theory tests. We will encourage pupils to book their theory test when they have completed a certain amount of the app.

Before moving off you should always check your blind spot. 🚨

- use all mirrors to check the road is clear
- look around to check the blind spots (the areas you are unable to see in the mirrors)
- signal if necessary before moving out
- look around for a final check
Move off only when it is safe to do so.
