❗ATTENTION ALL LEARNERS ❗

From 1 October ( This Thursday ), the process for how learner drivers can swap their driving test is changing ✅️

The change will remove the need for learners to coordinate their availability and will make the process smoother and less stressful🤞♻️

What's changing:

To request a swap, the first learner driver will still need to call DVSA.

The second learner will then need to call DVSA on the same working day to confirm they're happy with the swap.

The swap can only process the swap if both learners call DVSA on the same working day.

Previously, both learners needed to be available at the same time to make the swap.

Please share to make sure all pupils are aware of this change.

From the DVSA.

Planning on having a few this weekend? 🍻🍷

If you’re drinking, don’t get behind the wheel. And remember, you could still be over the limit the morning after.

Give your body enough time to process the alcohol before driving. Being over the drink-drive limit could mean:
⚠️ a criminal record
⚠️ a driving ban
⚠️ an unlimited fine
⚠️ up to six months in prison

But the consequences can be far more serious than a fine or losing your licence.

Driving while impaired puts you, your passengers and everyone else on the road at risk.

If you’re drinking, leave the car at home.

Before your driving test, tick these off your list. 📝🚗

Test day nerves are normal, but this checklist means you’ll have one less thing to worry about.

Here's what you need to bring with you to your driving test:

✅ Your UK driving licence. If you have a licence from Northern Ireland, you need to bring the Northern Ireland photocard, paper counterpart and theory certificate (if taken in Northern Ireland).

✅ A car that meets the rules, whether it's your instructor's or your own.

Know someone with a test coming up? Share this with them so they're fully prepared.

🚗Heading away this Bank Holiday weekend?

The roads are expected to be much busier than usual, so before you set off, just take a few minutes to check the essentials and help avoid unnecessary vehicle issues.

✅ Tyre condition & pressures
✅ Oil & coolant levels
✅ Lights
✅ Windscreen wipers & washers
✅ Fuel or battery charge

A simple check before your journey could save you time, stress and keep traffic moving safely for everyone.

Take extra care on the roads, allow plenty of time for your journey, and enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend safely.
