Back with the Audi Q7 from yesterday.

After diagnostics work, part of the process involved carrying out a hydrogen clean to help tackle carbon build-up throughout the combustion side of the engine.

The hydrogen works through:
โ€จโœ” Pistonsโ€จโœ” Valvesโ€จโœ” Combustion side of the turboโ€จโœ” Even toward the pre-cat area

One thing I mentioned in the video was the smell during the process.
You can genuinely smell the carbon reaction taking place, which is usually a really good sign.

After proper diagnostics, one of the fault codes showed the differential pressure sensor wasnโ€™t giving any reading at all.

Thatโ€™s a big problem because the car relies on that sensor to understand pressure inside the DPF and manage regeneration properly.

โœ” No accurate pressure readingโ€จโœ” Regeneration affectedโ€จโœ” Soot loadings increasingโ€จโœ” Vehicle eventually enters limp mode

After checking live data further, the DPF itself was actually okay.

This is exactly why diagnostics matter before throwing parts at a problem.

This 2021 Ford Transit Custom in Bristol came in with an AdBlue problem.

After carrying out diagnostics on this Mercedes Sprinter, it turned out the vehicle had already been remapped previously.

It happens more often than people think ๐Ÿ‘€

After discussing it with the customer, we decided the best option was to leave the vehicle as it was.
