In wet weather, stopping distances will be at least double that required for stopping on dry roads. This is because your tyres have less grip on the road.

In wet weather:

- You should keep well back from the vehicle in front. This will increase your ability to see and plan ahead.

- If the steering becomes unresponsive, it could mean water is affecting your vehicle's grip on the road.

- Ease off the accelerator and slow down gradually.

- The rain and spray from vehicles may make it difficult to see and be seen.

- Be aware of the dangers of spilt diesel that will make the surface very slippery.

- Take extra care around pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders.

well, what a great start to Friday.

Hydraulics have gone on the clutch, so it's off to Ford in Trowbridge for repair.

Meanwhile, a replacement car is being organised by the lease company, so fingers crossed, I shall be back on the road tomorrow🤞

It was driving absolutely fine yesterday, but today, it won't even go into a gear😥

This is the frustrating part of being an instructor!

🥳CONGRATULATIONS go to Kieron, who passed his test last week with us.

Kieron came to us from another driving school, having been let down by his instructor just one hour before his test.

Just 5½ hours later, Vince, his instructor, had sharpened up his driving, ready for his test.

Kieron smashed his test on FIRST ATTEMPT at Kingswood MPTC.
