For this build we teamed up with Adrift Conversions to install an amazing electrical system to complement the incredible workmanship of their van builds. And what a team we made.

With the thoroughly thought-out design of the internals of the van, down to the quirky space-saving features and a serious off-grid electrical set-up, this van is absolutely perfect — and guess what... It's for sale!
We pulled out all the stops on this one, down to having automatic temperature-controlled heat pads on the water tank to stop the water freezing on those colder adventures, and wireless gas level sensors paired into the Cerbo — the features are endless.

Another nice campsite electrical system for this customer last week, they had a very basic set up fitted already but things didnt work and was outdated. Now with the fogstar 100ah upfront and some major upgrades including now having EHU, their weekends away can be spent enjoying themselves knowing they have all the power they need!

Electrical board and 1st fix wiring completed on this van last week. Another smaller but none the less mighty system. With the 100ah Fogstar battery keeping things powered up and enough solar to keep that battery going this is a serious set up!

Making sense of this nest of cables was no easy task. But the difference is incredible! Stripping the system back to the bare minimum and adding in some decent upgrades along the way this customers new system is not only MUCH safer but now looks the part too!

With the Fogstar Battery powering this offgrid set up and the combined victron parts making the trips much more user friendly and for much longer periods of time!

This Lithium upgrade was ready to have the JC Auto Electrical touch, from cables just floating around, random isolators that didn't do anything and unfused cables, this was becoming a recipe for disaster.

We ripped all the old electrical system out and started again including some lovely upgrades along the way. Now this customer can enjoy their trips away with a system that they dont have to worry about.

2026 seems to be the year for Lithium upgrades, this customer came to us finding that they had to cut their holidays short or find a campsite to plug into hook up!

Not anymore! We always suprise ourselves making these systems fit into the space we have, yet we always manage to make it work! With 4x more battery storage than they came to us with over less footprint and some nice upgrades along the way, this customer can enjoy their extended trips away without looking for the next campsite!

We completed a lovely massive off-grid installation on this Bedford MJ last week. With a huge solar set up and battery storage. This customer is converting the vehicle themselves and are doing a wonderful job. Look out for the update when the vehicle is finished to see an amazing livable set up and conversion.

🔥FIRE HAZARD 🔥

This customer was lucky to have their lithium upgrade when they did. Undersized and unfused cable to the split charge relay that had melted the cable and the terminal. A fire example of why correct cable sizing and fuse rating is important!

A huge upgrade for this customer who lives in their van. With the massive 628ah PRO Fogstar battery and a huge solar panel keeping them off grid for considerably longer.

A few of the recent lithium upgrades we have completed.

Changing to a LiFePO4 battery's is becoming very popular, and for a good reason, the weight difference of an equivalent lead acid or AGM battery is substantial, but also the usable power, with lead acid or AGM it is generally considered that you should never take your battery past 50% or 12 volts to maintain health and avoid premature damage. With lithium its considered that you can use 80% of the total capacity and still maintain a healthy battery however you can occasionally take this down lower if required.

With higher discharge and charge ratings this makes them perfect for both weekend builds and full off-grid systems that require alot of power!

Here at JC Auto Electrical we aim to make the change the most cost effective for the customer, we listen to what you would like to achieve from your system to get an idea of what power and items you may require, we also take a look at your original system to determine if any of the components you have are compatible with lithium and then quote you on what we find.
