Fiat 500 was booked into us for a leaking water pump so getting time belt replacement and on way to us, it unfortunately failed.

Land Rover Discovery in with over 130,000 miles!

This one has certainly had a chain before. However it had an excess leak from gearbox so it was coming out and the customer opted to do the chains while there.

True Land Rover fashion - driveshafts both seized into hubs so had to take full hubs off! We learnt from
experience as last time trying to remove the driveshaft from hub with over 30T of pressure didn’t even budge it!

All 4 injectors seals replaced
Inner gearbox seal

Vauxhall Corsa in this morning.

For our lovely friends at Magenta (who by the way prep there cars the right way)

Vauxhall Corsa timing chain replacement due to noisy startup and issues with staying started. Sump off on this job due to the timing chain guide actually snapped and missing bits. It is better to be safe than sorry!

Then

A lovely Vauxhall Adam for similar issues for Joseph David Simm Ltd - it has a slight rattle in start up. So we decided to change it as a measure of precaution and make sure the next customer is happy.

Another day another snapped belt getting fixed 🧐

This time a FWD 2.0 Ecoblue. This one has unfortunately done It at speed. This has at very minimum done the Camshaft box, the front has a lot of movement, rear cam is solid as it should be. If the injectors come out nice, this job should be straight forward. If not, we’re in for a long week!

We will be repairing this car with the following:
Wet belt kit
camshaft box

Potiental injectors if they don’t come out
Rockers/lifters

Potiental head off
Potiental head gasket
Potiental head bolts
Potiental valves

All going well we won’t have to go that far, however customer was doing around 70mph on the motorway and this happened.

We will be fixing this as cost effective and quick as possible now it is in the workshop to get the customer back to work!

Vauxhall Crossland in for a snapped belt.

This one has unfortunately bent every single valve. We will be replacing all valves, pressure testing and skimming the head.

We will then reconstruct the vehicle with a full gasket set, full wet belt replacement and service.

We can also do the new astras but we under priced the last one drastically due to having to replace more than we knew. £800 for them!

DW10 in for a full engine replacement.

We will be changing anything needed as we go, slight oil in the pipe. Customer will also be given choice of replacing clutch will engine and box is out.

This job is around about £5,000 start ro finish with a remanufactured engine. Assuming yours has no holes in the block etc

Morning

We’ve decided to stop any credit across the board. It’s killing our cashflow drastically

If the trade don’t like this, don’t use us. We misinvoices, have to chase payments and discount work.

We earn drastically more doing public work and paid upfront, we are having to chase payments for month and it’s simply not worth it.

We can be fully booked public but we have to keep room for trade to keep our accounts happy.

Don’t like it, don’t use us.
