A new round of the Scottish Government’s 'Plugged-in Communities Grant Fund' is now open, offering eligible community transport operators significant financial support to switch to fully electric vehicles ⚡

Administered by the Energy Saving Trust, it can cover 100% of the cost of a fully electric vehicle, up to £75,000, with no match funding required. Where accessibility adaptations and charging infrastructure are required, the total grant award can increase to up to £95,000!

Did you know community transport organisations in Scotland could receive up to £95,000 towards an electric vehicle? The Scottish Government’s Plugged-in Communities Grant Fund is now open, with funding available towards:

⚡ Fully electric minibuses
♿ Accessibility adaptations
🔌 EV charging infrastructure

Eligible organisations can receive up to £75,000 towards the vehicle itself, with the total award rising to £95,000 where accessibility adaptations and charging are included.
Funding is being allocated on a first come, first served basis, so organisations considering an application may want to start exploring their options sooner rather than later.

Whatever mileage you've done, or not done, in your minibuses since the summer term, the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency recommends these safety inspections are completed every 10 weeks for vehicles under 12 years old.

AND did you know surface corrosion can develop on brake discs while vehicles are standing? Therefore brakes should be checked before returning to operation after the holidays 👍
