Congratulations to Lamya on passing her driving test today! 🚗💨

​When a fellow instructor switched to teaching in an automatic, Lamya was left with her test fast approaching. Even though her area was outside my usual coverage, I stepped in to help—and I’m so glad I did!

​Lamya had most of the skills all along, but self-doubt and test stress were holding her back. Watching her confidence grow and seeing her realize just how capable she really is has been incredible.

​I’m so proud of you, Lamya! (I'm definitely going to miss our end-of-lesson high fives! ✋)

Test 2 of Double Test Friday (yesterday), and it’s ANOTHER PASS! 🚗🎉 A huge congratulations to Ethan for passing his driving test first time with an incredible 2 driving faults!

​You truly deserve this result. Seeing how your confidence grew over time was amazing, and I still remember that early lesson where we worked on roundabouts—you completely smashed them out of the park perfectly within that single lesson! It has been an absolute pleasure teaching you—both you and your mom are so sweet and well-mannered.

Massive congratulations to Maddie on kicking off Double Test Friday (yesterday), with a Fantastic Pass on her second attempt! 🚗🎉 Passing with just 5 driving faults is a brilliant result!

​Her hard work and commitment to private practice between lessons really paid off, and her progress has been amazing to watch. ​It’s been so rewarding to see her progress lesson after lesson.

She was so on top of things today that when the examiner offered to explain the test layout, Maddie actually explained it to the examiner! Legend! 👏🚗

​I’ll miss all the jokes and laughs during our drives, but the buses are definitely losing a loyal passenger from today! 🚌💨

🚗 DRIVING TEST BOOKING SYSTEM UPDATE

There’s been an update from the DVSA about the new driving test booking service. So here’s what you actually need to know 👇

The DVSA is currently building a completely new system designed to make booking and managing driving tests more user friendly.

BUT… it isn’t being rolled out nationwide yet.

🔹 The new system is being developed in stages
🔹 A small pilot is being carried out at one test centre in Durham, with one examiner, for one day
🔹 This is deliberately being kept small so any problems can be identified before the system is rolled out further
🔹 Further small-scale testing is planned towards the end of 2026
🔹 The new system will NOT create more driving tests — it is intended to improve how tests are booked and managed

The new system also needs to connect with several existing DVSA/DVLA systems, including theory test records, payments, examiner iPads and licence information, so there’s quite a bit happening behind the scenes.

📢 So for learners currently waiting for a test:

Nothing changes for you just yet.

The DVSA says it will share the results of the pilot and provide further updates as the new system develops.

We’ll keep an eye on the changes and keep our learners updated as soon as there’s anything that actually affects you.

Amazing result for Jess,passing 1st time with 3DF in farnborough 🎉

Jess has worked so hard to achieve her goal. She wasn’t ready, so moved her test a few months and was worth the wait 🤩

The nerves were creeping in and over thinking. A little walk and change of focus did the trick.

Jess had been fab to teach and will miss our lessons. Enjoy driving to college,no more trains and be safe on the roads 🫶🏻
